Align your resume to payments industry language
Worldpay evaluates Sales BD candidates on pipeline ownership, enterprise deal cycles, and payments ecosystem knowledge. Reframe your experience around merchant acquiring, ISV partnerships, or B2B SaaS revenue so your background reads as directly transferable before you apply.
Target roles that match your visa category
Worldpay sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas, but not every open Sales BD role will have the same urgency around sponsorship timelines. F-1 OPT candidates with STEM OPT extension eligibility have a wider application window than those approaching the end of a standard 12-month period.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Worldpay's talent team handles a high volume of Sales BD requisitions. Confirming sponsorship availability in your initial screen, before moving to hiring manager interviews, prevents wasted time if a specific role or team isn't set up to support a visa petition.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation now
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Sales BD at a fintech company typically meets this bar when the position requires applied financial technology or business development expertise tied to a specific degree field. Gather transcripts and credential evaluations before an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Sales BD positions
Worldpay posts Sales BD roles across multiple locations and sub-teams at different times of the year. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track open positions at Worldpay that align with your visa type, so you can apply during the window that works for your status.
Understand the H-1B cap timing relative to your offer
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If Worldpay extends a Sales BD offer outside that window, negotiate a delayed start or explore whether a cap-exempt filing path applies to your situation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Worldpay sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Business Developments?
Yes, Worldpay sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Business Development roles. The sponsorship process requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means the role must typically require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, business, or information technology. Confirming sponsorship intent early in the hiring process is the most reliable way to avoid surprises.
How do I apply for Sales Business Development jobs at Worldpay?
You can apply directly through Worldpay's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse and track open Sales Business Development roles at Worldpay that are open to visa sponsorship. Before applying, tailor your application to highlight B2B sales experience in payments, fintech, or adjacent technology sectors, since Worldpay's hiring managers look for candidates who understand merchant services and enterprise deal cycles.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Business Development roles at Worldpay?
Worldpay supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Sales Business Development positions. F-1 OPT is most common for recent graduates entering the role directly, while H-1B is the standard long-term path. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories can also pursue TN status, which does not require a lottery and can be processed at the border.
What qualifications does Worldpay expect for Sales Business Development roles?
Worldpay typically looks for candidates with experience in B2B sales, enterprise partnerships, or business development within technology or financial services. For visa sponsorship purposes, a bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or a closely related field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case. Demonstrated pipeline management, client acquisition experience, and familiarity with the payments industry are the most commonly weighted factors.
How do I plan my timeline around Worldpay's sponsorship process?
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens each March for roles starting October 1. Plan your job search so that an offer from Worldpay can align with that window. If you're on F-1 OPT, your available work authorization period determines urgency. TN visa holders can often start faster since TN status does not go through a lottery and can be approved at a port of entry.
