- Successfully navigate the initial call to qualification to close process, ensuring lasting customer satisfaction and potential upsell opportunities.
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly quotas; strong work ethic and tenacity are key!

What We're Looking For In You

- Multi-tasking is no biggie. You're confident in navigating between numerous tabs, multiple screens, and using video conferencing tools.
- You're savvy and can find your way around new tools and software (such as Google Suite & Salesforce).
- You’re naturally curious and like to ask as many questions as it takes to find the answer.

- You are committed to a high standard of integrity and being a team player is important to you.
- You’re determined, a persuasive communicator and resilient; show us your grit!
- You are genuinely curious about people, local businesses, and possess the innate ability to inspire passion in others; you can’t wait to show everyone the value of Yelp.

Frame your sales metrics in U.S. terms
Yelp's sales interviews focus heavily on quota attainment and pipeline management. Convert your revenue figures to USD and align your experience with B2B or SMB advertising sales, since that's the motion Yelp's sales org runs.
Target Yelp's SMB-focused sales teams specifically
Yelp's core sales motion is selling advertising to small and medium businesses. Roles on these teams have historically attracted sponsorship activity. Highlighting experience selling software or digital advertising to SMBs positions you as a direct fit.
Understand H-1B timing relative to your start date
H-1B employment can only begin October 1 following a cap-season filing. If you're interviewing in late spring, coordinate with your recruiter so the offer and USCIS filing timeline align with that October start date, not an earlier one.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Yelp's open sales roles
Roles listed under Yelp's sales function on Migrate Mate are filtered for sponsorship eligibility, saving you the step of manually screening job descriptions. Browse current Sales Representative openings there before reaching out to Yelp's recruiting team.
Prepare your LCA documentation early with your employer
Once Yelp extends an offer, the Labor Condition Application filed with the DOL is the first formal step in the H-1B or E-3 process. Understanding what the LCA certifies, including prevailing wage compliance, helps you ask informed questions and avoid delays.

Find Sales Representative at Yelp JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Yelp sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Representatives?
Yes, Yelp has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales Representatives. The H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, so timing matters. Yelp would need to file your petition during the cap-season registration window, with employment starting no earlier than October 1 of that fiscal year. Confirm sponsorship availability for a specific role with your recruiter early in the process.
Which visa types does Yelp commonly sponsor for Sales Representative roles?
Yelp sponsors H-1B, E-3, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Sales Representatives. The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and is often faster to obtain than the H-1B since it's not subject to a lottery. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically comes after an employee has been in a role for some time.
What qualifications does Yelp expect for Sales Representative roles?
Yelp's Sales Representative roles typically require demonstrated B2B or SMB sales experience, comfort with high-volume outbound activity, and strong performance against quota. For H-1B sponsorship, the role also needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is generally expected. Digital advertising or SaaS sales backgrounds are particularly relevant given Yelp's product.
How do I apply for Sales Representative jobs at Yelp?
You can find and apply for Sales Representative positions at Yelp through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by sponsorship eligibility so you're not guessing whether visa support is available. From there, applications go through Yelp's standard recruiting process, typically starting with a recruiter screen, followed by skills-based and panel interviews focused on sales methodology and past performance.
How do I plan the timeline for Yelp to sponsor my work visa?
The timeline depends on which visa applies to you. E-3 applications for Australian citizens can move relatively quickly since interviews are scheduled at Australian consulates without a lottery wait. H-1B sponsorship requires filing during the April cap season, meaning you'd typically need an offer in hand by March. Either way, align your offer timing with your recruiter and verify that the role is approved for sponsorship before your final interview round.
