LINX is hiring a Low Voltage Superintendent to lead field operations on hyperscale data center, mission-critical, and large-scale commercial construction projects across the United States. This is a senior field leadership role — you'll run crews, own project quality, and be the person clients and GCs call when something needs solving on the spot.
If you've built your career running structured cabling and fiber on complex, high-stakes projects and you're ready to do that work for a company that's growing fast across the USA, this is the role.
Pay: $35.00–$48.00/hour based on experience, plus bonus opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
Field Leadership & Crew Management
- Lead and supervise low voltage technicians and leads across medium to large-scale projects — hyperscale data centers and commercial construction projects.
- Set daily and weekly crew priorities, manage scheduling and staffing levels, and make real-time decisions when conditions on-site change
- Conduct hands-on technical training for technicians and leads — covering installation methods, test equipment operation, and quality standards
- Support hiring decisions and help build the crew capacity needed to meet project demand
Project Execution & Quality Control
- Own on-site execution from mobilization through close-out — structured cabling, high-density fiber optic networks, copper terminations (Cat6/Cat6A), pathway systems, and associated infrastructure
- Operate and interpret results from test equipment including Fluke Testers, OTDR's & power meters — and ensure all testing documentation meets project and client standards
- Manage materials on-site — receiving, staging, tracking, and flagging shortages or procurement issues to the project manager before they become schedule problems
- Enforce compliance with LINX quality standards, customer contractual requirements, and project completion documentation at every phase
Safety & Compliance
- Lead safety culture on-site — daily toolbox talks, hazard identification, incident reporting, and enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies
- Maintain compliance with all project-specific safety plans, site access requirements, and documentation standards — particularly critical in data center and mission-critical environments where access controls and protocols are stringent
Coordination & Communication
- Represent LINX in project meetings with GCs, trade contractors, owners, and clients — communicate schedule status, manpower levels, issues, and change order scope clearly and professionally
- Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and estimating on material needs, scope changes, and budget impacts
- Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs and post-project reviews as needed
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years managing low voltage or structured cabling crews on commercial construction projects, with a track record of running multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with hyperscale data center clients such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, OCI etc.
- Hands-on mastery of low voltage installation across structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and associated pathways — you can do the work yourself and teach others to do it right
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard test equipment and the ability to run tests, interpret results, troubleshoot failures, and produce clean documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents including scope of work, bill of materials, blueprints, and project schedules
- Working knowledge of applicable industry standards — BICSI, Division 27, etc.
Leadership & Communication
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a crew of 20-50 technicians across active jobsites
- Strong written and verbal communication in English — you will interact directly with clients, GCs, and internal project teams regularly
- Ability to manage change orders, timesheets, and staffing documentation accurately and on time
Certifications & Logistics
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred (not required)
- BICSI Technician certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Manufacturer-specific test equipment certification
- Ability to travel 100% across the USA for projects
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $35.00–$48.00/hour depending on experience
Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunities available
Benefits:
- 401(k) with 50% employer match on first 5% contributed
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and HSA options
- Short and long-term disability coverage

How do I get a construction job in El Paso?
Focus your search on El Paso's active sectors: residential development in the Upper Valley and Eastside, commercial and retail construction downtown and along the Loop 375 corridor, and infrastructure projects tied to the city's ongoing border and highway expansion. Employers here favor candidates with hands-on trade experience, OSHA certifications, and familiarity with large-scale ground-up builds. Applying directly to general contractors and subcontractors working active El Paso sites gives you the strongest foothold.
