Construction Project Manager Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction project manager job in Miami?
Focus your search on Miami's most active hiring sectors: luxury residential high-rise development in Brickell and Edgewater, mixed-use commercial projects in Wynwood and the Design District, and public infrastructure work tied to Miami-Dade County contracts. General contractors and large development firms dominate local hiring. Candidates with experience managing subcontractors in South Florida's permitting environment and familiarity with hurricane-resilient building standards stand out in this market.
Which companies hire construction project managers in Miami?
Employers hiring construction project managers in Miami right now include Kiso Group, AECOM, and Areas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's market is driven by a mix of national general contractors with regional offices downtown and locally headquartered developers active across Brickell, Overtown, and Miami Beach.
Are there remote construction project manager jobs in Miami?
Yes, though opportunities are limited given the inherently on-site nature of construction oversight. About 14% of construction project manager openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to involve preconstruction planning, estimating, or owner's representative work rather than active field supervision.
How can I get a construction project manager job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through a project engineer or assistant project manager role with a mid-size general contractor working on South Florida residential or commercial builds. Firms active in Miami's booming condo and mixed-use pipeline often promote internally, making field coordinator and superintendent assistant positions strong starting points. Volunteering with Miami-Dade County construction programs or interning with a local developer can also build the local project exposure employers want.
Which industries hire the most construction project managers in Miami?
Most construction project manager openings in Miami sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Energy, and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's sustained population growth, coastal redevelopment pressure, and major public transit investments are driving consistent demand across those sectors.
