Consultant Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consultant in Georgia?
Becoming a consultant in Georgia typically starts with a bachelor's degree in a field aligned to your target practice area, such as business administration, information technology, finance, or engineering. Most Georgia employers expect candidates to pursue recognized professional credentials as they advance, such as a Project Management Professional certification for strategy and operations roles or a Certified Public Accountant license issued through the Georgia State Board of Accountancy for financial consulting. Entry-level roles are most accessible in Atlanta's management consulting and IT services sectors.
Which companies hire consultants in Georgia?
Employers hiring consultants in Georgia right now include CarMax, Sedgwick, and Victra-Verizon Authorized Retailer, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, large healthcare systems, and a growing fintech and cybersecurity corridor means consulting demand cuts across industries rather than concentrating in a single sector.
Which Georgia cities have the most consultant jobs?
The Georgia cities with the most consultant openings are Atlanta, Georgia, and Duluth. Atlanta drives the majority of postings as the state's primary corporate and technology hub, home to a dense cluster of Fortune 500 companies and large professional services firms, while Augusta and Savannah contribute openings tied to healthcare systems, logistics, and expanding manufacturing and defense operations in those corridors.
Are there remote consultant jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. Consulting is well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements because much of the work involves analysis, strategy development, and client communication rather than on-site presence. About 50% of consultant openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly employers across the state have adopted flexible models. Strategy, IT, and financial advisory roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while implementation and on-site transformation projects typically require in-person work.
How can I get hired as a consultant in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a rotational or analyst program at one of the large consulting or professional services firms with Georgia operations, where new graduates are placed across practice areas before specializing. Deloitte, Accenture, and several Atlanta-based regional firms run structured entry-level cohorts that do not require prior consulting experience. Candidates who cross over from adjacent roles in project coordination, financial analysis, or business operations are competitive, especially when they hold or are pursuing a PMP credential or an industry-recognized certificate in data analytics or process improvement.
Where can I find and apply to consultant jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to consultant jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, practice area, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
