Consulting Intern Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consulting intern in Colorado?
Consulting intern roles in Colorado do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect candidates to be enrolled in or have recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field. Colorado's universities, including the University of Colorado system and Colorado State University, maintain recruiting pipelines with consulting firms and corporate strategy teams in the Denver metro area.
Which companies hire consulting interns in Colorado?
Colorado consulting intern roles are posted by RSM, Plante Moran, and Protiviti and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of professional services offices, technology headquarters, and large healthcare and energy employers means intern openings appear across several distinct industries, not just traditional consulting firms.
Which Colorado cities have the most consulting intern jobs?
Denver, Greenwood Village, and Wheat Ridge account for the largest share of consulting intern openings in Colorado. Denver drives the greatest volume as the state's primary business hub, home to major professional services offices and corporate headquarters, while Boulder's technology and innovation ecosystem and Colorado Springs' defense and aerospace sector generate consistent demand in their respective markets.
Are there remote consulting intern jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than many fields, since consulting intern work is largely analytical and document-based. About 100% of consulting intern openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves research, modeling, and presentations that travel well outside the office. Strategy and research-focused rotations tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while client-site project tracks typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a consulting intern in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured intern programs at Colorado-based professional services offices and large corporate strategy teams before completing your degree. Deloitte, Accenture, and regional consulting boutiques in Denver recruit actively from Colorado universities and accept candidates with strong academic records and project experience in place of prior internships. Case competition participation, relevant coursework in finance or operations, and a clear analytical writing sample each strengthen an application from a candidate without professional consulting experience.
Where can I find and apply to consulting intern jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to consulting intern jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target industry, and apply directly to each listing that matches your experience and availability.
