This role will serve as the creative lead behind our marketing campaigns, social media content, brand initiatives, advertising, events, and other customer-facing communications. Rather than functioning primarily as a graphic designer, the Creative Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing creative concepts, establishing the look and feel of campaigns, writing and shaping messaging, and directing the production of creative content.
This person should be equally comfortable brainstorming a campaign concept, writing a social media script, developing a creative brief, directing a video shoot, reviewing design concepts, and explaining how an idea should come to life across multiple channels.
The role is intended to grow into a broader Creative Director position as our marketing organization and creative capabilities continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities -

- Help define and evolve the overall creative direction of the brand.
- Establish the visual style, tone, messaging, and creative approach for major marketing initiatives.
- Translate business and marketing objectives into compelling creative concepts.

- Lead the creative concepting process for marketing campaigns from initial idea through execution.
- Develop campaign concepts that can extend across social media, digital advertising, email, websites, print, events, sales materials, and other channels.
- Partner with marketing leadership to determine how campaigns should look, sound, and feel.
- Create creative briefs that clearly communicate campaign objectives, audience, messaging, visual direction, and desired outcomes.
- Ensure individual creative pieces work together as part of a cohesive campaign rather than as standalone materials.
Social Media & Content Direction
- Develop concepts and creative direction for social media content.
- Help establish the voice, personality, and visual identity of our social media presence.
- Write and develop scripts, concepts, captions, hooks, talking points, and content ideas for social platforms.
- Plan and direct social media photo and video shoots.
- Develop shot lists, scripts, storyboards, interview questions, and production concepts when appropriate.
- Direct employees, executives, partners, or talent appearing in marketing content to achieve the desired tone and delivery.
- Work with videographers, photographers, editors, designers, and social media resources to bring concepts to life.
- Identify opportunities to create timely, relevant, entertaining, educational, or engaging content around the business and industry.
- Stay current on social media trends, formats, platform behavior, and emerging content styles without allowing trends to override the integrity of the brand.
Copywriting & Storytelling
- Develop messaging and copy for marketing campaigns and creative initiatives.
- Write or provide direction for social posts, video scripts, advertisements, headlines, campaign messaging, landing pages, email content, presentations, and other marketing communications.
- Turn complex business concepts into simple, engaging stories.
- Develop distinct messaging approaches for different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Help leadership and subject-matter experts communicate their ideas in a more engaging and accessible way.
Creative Production Leadership
- Own the creative vision for photo shoots, video shoots, advertising creative, and other major content-production efforts.
- Coordinate with internal and external production resources to execute the creative vision.
- Select locations, settings, visual styles, shot concepts, wardrobe direction, props, and other creative elements when appropriate.
- Provide direction during production and post-production.
- Review edits, layouts, graphics, photography, and other deliverables and provide actionable creative feedback.
- Determine when work should be handled internally versus through specialized freelancers, agencies, photographers, videographers, or production partners.
Brand & Creative Standards
- Help develop and maintain brand guidelines and creative standards.
- Establish consistency across marketing campaigns and customer-facing materials.
- Build creative frameworks and templates that help other teams produce materials without compromising the brand.
- Serve as a primary creative resource for teams throughout the organization.
- Help ensure multiple business initiatives maintain a recognizable and cohesive brand identity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with marketing, sales, technology, recruiting, communications, leadership, and other business teams.
- Meet with stakeholders to understand the underlying objective of a request rather than simply executing what was initially requested.
- Recommend stronger creative approaches when appropriate.
- Present creative concepts and explain the thinking behind them.
- Balance stakeholder feedback, business requirements, compliance considerations, and creative quality.
Qualifications -
Required
- Professional experience in creative marketing, advertising, brand development, content strategy, social media, or a related field.

What Success Looks Like
The Creative Marketing Manager becomes the person the organization turns to when asking:
"What should this look like?"
"How should we tell this story?"
"How do we make people actually pay attention to this?"
Success in this role is not measured by the number of graphics personally produced. It is measured by the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of the creative ideas being produced across the organization.
Over time, this individual should establish a recognizable creative identity for the brand, improve the quality of our social media and marketing campaigns, strengthen our storytelling, and create a more consistent creative process across the organization.
Career Growth
This position is intentionally designed as a potential pathway to Creative Director.
As the organization expands its creative capabilities, the Creative Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to take broader ownership of the company's creative strategy and potentially lead a team consisting of designers, content creators, social media professionals, videographers, copywriters, agencies, and other creative resources.
Progression into a Creative Director role would include increased responsibility for:
- Overall brand and creative strategy.
- Leadership of the creative team.
- Creative talent development and hiring.
- Agency and production relationships.
- Major advertising campaigns.
- Brand standards and visual identity.
- Content and social creative strategy.
- Executive-level creative presentations and recommendations.
- Long-term development of the company's creative capabilities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who thinks like a Creative Director but is ready to grow into the title.
You have strong opinions about what makes creative work effective and can explain the reasoning behind them. You notice details in advertising, branding, social media, photography, video, and storytelling that others may overlook.
You don't necessarily need to be the person operating the camera, editing every video, or designing every graphic. Your strength is knowing what should be created, why it should be created, and how it should come together.
You can walk into a room with a vague idea and leave with a campaign concept, a script, a visual direction, a shot list, and a plan for bringing it to life.
You understand that creativity isn't just about making something look good. It's about getting someone's attention, telling a story, creating an emotional response, and ultimately helping the business accomplish an objective.

Creative Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a creative manager in Florida?
Creative manager roles in Florida do not require a state-issued license, but employers consistently look for a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field alongside several years of hands-on creative experience. Florida's dense concentration of advertising agencies in Miami, media companies in Orlando, and hospitality brands in Tampa means candidates who build a strong portfolio and gain team leadership experience in those markets move into management roles most quickly.
How much do creative managers make in Florida?
Creative managers in Florida earn a median of about $99,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,780 for the lowest 10% to over $163,450 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire creative managers in Florida?
Employers hiring creative managers in Florida right now include MADabolic, AAA National, and PBK Architects, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of global hospitality brands, major media networks, and a fast-growing startup scene in Miami keeps demand for creative leadership unusually consistent throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most creative manager jobs?
Orlando, Coral Gables, and Miami account for the most creative manager openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its concentration of international advertising agencies, fashion brands, and Latin American media headquarters, while Orlando's entertainment and hospitality sector drives demand there, and Tampa's growing marketing and financial services industry supports a steady pipeline of creative leadership roles.
Are there remote creative manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 67% of creative manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of much of the work. Brand strategy, content direction, and campaign oversight translate well to remote arrangements, while roles that require on-site studio production or in-person client presentations tend to remain hybrid or fully on-site.
How can I get hired as a creative manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a coordinator or senior designer role at a Florida agency or in-house team and moving into management from within. Large Florida employers like NBCUniversal in Orlando and major Miami-based agencies regularly hire creative coordinators and associate producers as developmental roles. Building a portfolio that demonstrates concept ownership rather than execution alone, and earning a certificate in brand strategy or digital marketing from a Florida university extension program, gives candidates a clear edge when applying for first-time manager openings.
Where can I find and apply to creative manager jobs in Florida?
