Customer Sales Advisor Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer sales advisor in Kansas?
Most customer sales advisor roles in Kansas that involve insurance products require an active Kansas insurance producer license, issued through the Kansas Insurance Department after passing a state-approved exam. Candidates complete pre-licensing coursework, sit for the exam, and submit a background check. For roles outside licensed insurance, employers typically look for a high school diploma, some customer service background, and completed employer onboarding training before advising customers independently.
Which companies hire customer sales advisors in Kansas?
Kansas customer sales advisor roles are posted by Wealthbridge Financial, Bank of America, and Jack Henry & Associates and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's large insurance carriers, regional banks, and telecommunications providers are among the most consistent sources of open advisor positions across the state.
Which Kansas cities have the most customer sales advisor jobs?
Overland Park, Wichita, and Lenexa account for the largest share of customer sales advisor openings in Kansas. Wichita drives volume through its concentration of insurance carriers and financial services firms, Kansas City benefits from major regional headquarters and retail banking operations on the Kansas side, and Topeka's government-adjacent economy supports steady demand from insurance and utilities companies headquartered there.
Are there remote customer sales advisor jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and they are more available than in many fields, since a significant portion of customer sales advising involves phone, email, or video-based client contact that translates well to remote work. About 85% of customer sales advisor openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in insurance and financial services have adopted flexible work arrangements. Fully remote openings most often involve inbound sales, account renewals, and quote-generation roles.
How can I get hired as a customer sales advisor in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to paid training programs at Kansas-based insurance carriers and financial services firms, where employers such as Farmers Insurance district offices and Security Benefit Group regularly onboard candidates with no prior sales background. Lateral moves from customer service representative, call center agent, or retail associate roles are common stepping stones. Obtaining a Kansas insurance producer license before applying significantly strengthens a resume, and many employers will reimburse exam costs after hire.
Where can I find and apply to customer sales advisor jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to customer sales advisor jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
