Regional Sales Representative Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales representative in Kansas?
Most regional sales representatives in Kansas enter the field with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, agriculture, or a directly related discipline, though some industries such as medical devices or insurance may require industry-specific credentials. Kansas does not impose a universal state license for general sales roles, but representatives selling insurance products must hold a Kansas Department of Insurance producer license. Employers across Wichita and the Kansas City metro typically value prior territory management experience alongside any relevant product certifications.
Which companies hire regional sales representatives in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring regional sales representatives in Kansas include Diversicare Healthcare Services, Cox Automotive, and Aspen Dental, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's concentration of agribusiness, aviation manufacturing, and healthcare distribution creates steady openings for field sales talent across multiple industries statewide.
Which Kansas cities have the most regional sales representative jobs?
Kansas City, Topeka, and Wichita account for the largest share of regional sales representative openings in Kansas. Wichita drives volume through its aviation manufacturing and agribusiness sectors, while the Kansas City metro benefits from proximity to major distribution and healthcare networks, and Topeka's state government and insurance industry presence supports consistent demand for commercial and public-sector sales roles.
Are there remote regional sales representative jobs in Kansas?
Yes, but they are less common than in desk-based roles, since regional sales representatives are generally expected to work territories in person. About 34% of regional sales representative openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be in inside sales support or account management functions rather than traditional field territory roles.
How can I get hired as a regional sales representative in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a Kansas-based distributor or manufacturer, where you build territory knowledge before moving into a regional field position. Large Kansas employers in agribusiness and industrial supply regularly hire candidates into associate rep programs that provide structured onboarding. A Kansas Department of Insurance producer license can open doors in the insurance segment, and any internship or co-op with a Wichita-area manufacturer strengthens an entry-level application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings across industries including agribusiness, healthcare distribution, and industrial equipment. Find the roles that fit your experience and territory preference and apply directly.
