Regional Sales Representative Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales representative in New York?
Most regional sales representative roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a field related to the product being sold. New York does not require a state-issued general sales license for most industries, though pharmaceutical and medical device representatives often complete manufacturer-sponsored certification programs. Building experience in inside sales, retail management, or account coordination at New York companies is a common entry path before moving into a regional territory role.
Which companies hire regional sales representatives in New York?
Companies currently hiring regional sales representatives in New York include Kodo Kids, Milton Cat, and Weaver Precast, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, financial services firms, and enterprise technology companies makes it one of the more active states for regional sales hiring year-round.
Which New York cities have the most regional sales representative jobs?
New York State, Manhattan, and Uniondale have the most regional sales representative openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its headquarters density across pharmaceuticals, finance, and technology, while Buffalo and Albany generate consistent openings tied to regional distribution, healthcare systems, and state government procurement activity that attracts vendors with dedicated territory reps.
Are there remote regional sales representative jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based roles, since regional sales representatives are generally expected to meet clients and cover a physical territory. About 100% of regional sales representative openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be inside-sales or national account management positions where field travel is minimal and client relationships are maintained primarily by phone and video.
How can I get hired as a regional sales representative in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales development or sales associate role at a New York-area company, then transitioning to a territory position after hitting consistent quota. Large New York employers in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, such as those headquartered in the Hudson Valley and Long Island biotech corridor, run structured rotational or associate sales programs designed for recent graduates. A relevant internship, a completed product-specific training certification, or prior retail management experience at a named New York retailer or distributor can also open the door.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated in real time. Search the available roles, find one that fits your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly through the listing.
