Customer Solutions Specialist Jobs in South Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer solutions specialist in South Dakota?
Most customer solutions specialist roles in South Dakota require a high school diploma or equivalent, with employers in financial services and healthcare strongly preferring an associate or bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. South Dakota does not issue a state license specific to this role, so candidates build their path through relevant work history, CRM platform certifications, and demonstrated client support experience. Sioux Falls employers in banking and insurance often prioritize internal promotions or lateral hires from adjacent service roles.
Which companies hire customer solutions specialists in South Dakota?
Employers hiring customer solutions specialists in South Dakota right now include Sanford Health, CVS Health, and The Bancorp, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Dakota's concentration of financial services headquarters and large regional health systems in Sioux Falls means these employers consistently represent the deepest hiring volume in the state.
Which South Dakota cities have the most customer solutions specialist jobs?
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Pierre have the most customer solutions specialist openings in South Dakota. Sioux Falls dominates because it is home to major banking, insurance, and health system operations, while Rapid City's retail, hospitality, and regional healthcare base drives steady demand, and Aberdeen's manufacturing and agricultural services sector adds consistent smaller-market volume.
Are there remote customer solutions specialist jobs in South Dakota?
Yes, and they are fairly common for this role. About 100% of customer solutions specialist openings tied to South Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally desk-based this work is. Client onboarding, account management, and billing support functions are the sub-areas most consistently offered as fully remote positions by South Dakota employers.
How can I get hired as a customer solutions specialist in South Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for customer service associate or account coordinator roles at Sioux Falls-based financial institutions and health systems, which regularly hire candidates without prior specialist experience and provide structured onboarding. Citibank and Sanford Health both run associate-level programs that build toward specialist titles. Completing a CRM certification and gaining experience in retail banking, insurance claims, or healthcare front-desk roles are the credentials that most effectively open the door to specialist-level positions in South Dakota.
Where can I find and apply to customer solutions specialist jobs in South Dakota?
You can find and apply to customer solutions specialist jobs in South Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the listings, find the roles that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
