Location: Breinigsville, PA (Tierpoint)
Responsibilities:
- Act as a local point of contact between Kaseya and Data Center Staff
- Conduct daily inspections of all Kaseya related Data Center infrastructure equipment
- Operates and installs computing equipment related to infrastructure and applications including servers, storage, network, telco, and software.
- Sets up and installs equipment, hardware, and cabling on data equipment and peripherals. Performs general and preventative maintenance and plans downtime procedures.
- Maintain internal reference rack schedule to reflect the existing deployment.
- Process HDD RMA shipments and coordinate failed drive destruction
- Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner. (RAM, PSUs, Hard drives, etc.)
- Maintains inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware. Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and parts used in repair work.
- Lifting of equipment required up to and over 50lbs. Use manual and electric server lift where applicable
- Install fiber and copper cross connect cabling
- Provide oversight of contractors and service providers in the Kaseya related spaces.
- Assists with shipping, receiving, and distribution of equipment and hardware.
- As a member of an on-call rotation provide emergency response. Shift, evening, and weekend work, while limited, may be required
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to distribute messages clearly and concisely connecting with employees and customers.
- Advanced technical troubleshooting skills
- An eager can-do attitude
- The technician must have the ability to organize technical tasks, as well as the ability to develop a detail-oriented technical problem-solving approach
- General computer hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and repair knowledge
- Knowledge of Ethernet network topology and components to help troubleshoot networking issues
- 2-3 years of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Shipping logistics and/or previous data center experience
- Military training or technical certifications desired
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Ubuntu/Debian Linux
- Experience with Dell systems, including iDrac and Dell TechDirect Portal
- Experience with Cisco Nexus switches
- Experience with Mellanox and Nvidia series switches
- CompTIA Linux+, Network+ or equivalent
