Job Summary:
Location: Nebraska Methodist College
Address: 720 N. 87th St. - Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Will be required to work occasional evenings & weekends for student events.
Designs, coordinates and supports co-curricular programs that foster student engagement, leadership development, belonging and student success. Leads signature initiatives including the NMC Launch Program and development of the Community Scholars program while advising student organizations and mentoring student leaders. Collaborates with faculty, staff and campus partners to create inclusive programming and meaningful student experiences that support retention and connection to the college community. Supports assessment, program improvement and institutional initiatives related to student engagement and leadership development.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Launch Program Coordination - 50%
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Launch Program to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and student success outcomes.
- Facilitate participant meetings, enrichment opportunities, leadership development experiences, mentoring, and recruitment activities.
- Track participation, outcomes, and program effectiveness while collaborating with campus and community partners to support participant success.
Student Leadership & Co-Curricular Programming - 30%
- Design, coordinate, and assess inclusive co-curricular programs and signature events that foster student engagement, leadership development, and campus connection.
- Lead institutional initiatives such as the Community Scholars program and Student Involvement Fairs in collaboration with faculty, staff, and student leaders.
Student Organization Advising & Leadership Development - 15%
- Advise and support student organizations, including student government and affinity groups, with leadership development, budgeting, and organizational effectiveness.
- Mentor and coach student leaders individually and in groups to promote growth, belonging, and engagement with campus resources.
Assessment, Collaboration & Institutional Support - 5%
- Maintain participation records, assessment data, and documentation related to student engagement and leadership initiatives.
- Collaborate across the institution through committee participation and other assigned responsibilities to support college operations and strategic priorities.

Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Organizational Development or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of experience supporting student programming, student organizations or leadership development in higher education or a comparable setting.
- Experience coordinating multi-component and/or cohort-based programs.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse student populations.
License/Certification:

Skills/Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to plan, coordinate and support student programs and events that promote connection, leadership development and involvement.
- Knowledge of student development, leadership education and organizational development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise, coach and engage students and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and track participation and basic assessment data.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contribute positively to campus culture.
- Demonstrated initiative, reliability and sound judgment in a dynamic, student-centered work environment.
- Proficiency with technology tools including databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support student programs and events.
