Development Manager Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a development manager job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's real estate, technology, and financial services sectors, which consistently post the most development manager openings. Uptown, the Platinum Corridor along the northern tollway, and Las Colinas are the densest hiring zones. Candidates who combine project delivery experience with familiarity with Texas's commercial real estate or enterprise software ecosystems tend to stand out in Dallas interviews.
Which companies hire development managers in Dallas?
Employers hiring development managers in Dallas right now include Pilot Flying J, Groupon, and Hunt Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Dallas's employer mix ranges from major corporate headquarters and regional real estate developers to fast-growing tech companies with North Texas operations.
Are there remote development manager jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the specialization, since roles tied to construction, facilities, or on-site team leadership are largely in person while software product and program development roles offer more flexibility. About 70% of development manager openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of November 2026. Tech-focused development manager roles based in the Platinum Corridor and Las Colinas tend to offer the most remote-friendly arrangements.
How can I get a development manager job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is moving up from a project coordinator or associate program manager role within the city's large real estate development firms or enterprise technology companies. Dallas employers in commercial real estate frequently hire coordinators with construction or planning exposure and promote from within. Gaining PMP certification or hands-on experience managing a sub-team on a local development project makes a candidate far more competitive for a first manager-level role.
Which industries hire the most development managers in Dallas?
Most development manager openings in Dallas sit in Marketing & Advertising, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Dallas's role as a major commercial real estate market and a growing corporate headquarters hub for technology and financial services firms drives consistent demand across all three of those sectors.
