Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Business Account Executive
Frame your degree as a specialty occupation match
Consular officers need to see a direct connection between your degree field and the account executive role. A business, marketing, or communications degree paired with a job description requiring that specific background clears the specialty occupation threshold faster than a general sales pitch.
Target employers with prior E-3 or H-1B filing history
Companies that have filed LCAs before already have HR and legal processes in place for work visa sponsorship. Searching DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data by job title surfaces which employers regularly hire into roles like yours.
Get your offer letter to specify degree requirements explicitly
Your offer letter must state that a relevant bachelor's degree is required, not merely preferred. If it says 'preferred,' the consular officer can reject the specialty occupation claim. Ask your employer to revise the language before the LCA is submitted to DOL.
Clarify who handles the LCA before signing your offer
The employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, not you. Some smaller U.S. companies don't know this. Confirming the LCA timeline before you accept locks in start-date expectations and prevents delays caused by employers who assume you handle your own paperwork.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and visa prep
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA submission, visa application paperwork, and consulate preparation end-to-end. For account executives moving between employers or roles, this removes the back-and-forth with HR teams unfamiliar with E-3 requirements.
Book your consulate appointment immediately after LCA certification
DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days. Schedule your Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth consulate appointment the same week certification comes through. Appointment availability can shift quickly, and delays between certification and booking extend your U.S. start date unnecessarily.

Find Business Account Executive JobsBusiness Account Executive E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Business Account Executive jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter Business Account Executive positions by employers who have a history of sponsoring work visas, which saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company won't sponsor.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Business Account Executive role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, marketing, or communications as a genuine minimum requirement. If the job description accepts any degree or substitutes experience freely for education, a consular officer may challenge the specialty occupation classification. The offer letter and LCA must reflect a real degree requirement, not a preference.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Business Account Executive roles?
The E-3 is only open to Australian citizens, but it has no annual cap and no lottery, so approval depends on your qualifications, not luck. H-1B registrations for business and sales roles face a selection rate well below 50 percent in recent years. For Australians, the E-3 is a direct path to a U.S. role without waiting through multiple lottery cycles or sitting on an employer's bench.
Can I change employers after starting a Business Account Executive role on an E-3?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and visa stamp each time you change employers. The E-3 is employer-specific, so your current visa doesn't transfer. If you're already in the U.S., your new employer files a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need to attend a consulate appointment in Australia or at a U.S. consulate abroad before re-entering under the new employer's E-3.
