WORK ARRANGEMENT
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Working remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The annual US base salary range for this role is $199,400 - $299,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. hiring
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa specialty occupation purposes. Prepare a one-page credential summary that maps your degree field to the Partner Development Manager role requirements before you apply.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for partnership, alliances, or business development roles. Prior LCA activity signals a company already understands the E-3 process and won't stall at sponsorship.
Address sponsorship directly in your cover letter
State upfront that you're an Australian citizen eligible for the E-3 visa, which requires no lottery and minimal employer cost. Recruiters unfamiliar with E-3 often assume all foreign nationals require H-1B visa sponsorship, so correcting that assumption early prevents automatic screening.
Use Migrate Mate to find and file efficiently
Search for Partner Development Manager roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship on Migrate Mate, then use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer. Having a clear filing path ready reassures employers who are new to the process.
Negotiate LCA wage level before your offer is finalised
Your employer's LCA must certify a prevailing wage at the appropriate DOL wage level for your role and location. If the offered salary falls below the Level II or III prevailing wage for Partner Development Manager in that metro area, the LCA will not certify, so align compensation before signing.
Prepare for consulate questions about role scope
Consular officers sometimes probe whether Partner Development Manager roles genuinely require a degree rather than general business experience. Bring your offer letter, job description, and degree transcripts to your interview. A role tied to a specific field like SaaS partnerships or enterprise channel development is easier to defend than a broad title.
E-3 Visa Partner Development Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Partner Development Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 visa sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, it surfaces positions where employers are already open to the E-3 process, saving you from cold-pitching companies that have never sponsored an Australian national before.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Partner Development Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the employer's job description requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline. The role must be tied to theoretical and practical knowledge from that field. Generic business development roles where any degree suffices can face scrutiny, so the job description wording matters significantly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Partner Development Manager roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, but it has two major advantages over the H-1B for this role: no annual lottery and no cap on available visas. H-1B registration is a randomised selection with roughly a 25 percent chance of selection in recent years. With the E-3, you can apply any time of year and start work as soon as your visa is approved, making it far more predictable for both you and your employer.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Partner Development Manager?
Yes, but you cannot port your existing E-3 to a new employer the way an H-1B holder can under AC21 portability rules. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp, typically obtained at an Australian consulate. You cannot begin work for the new employer until the new LCA is certified and your visa is issued.
