Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Product Management Lead
Translate your Australian degree for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 specialty occupation purposes. Pair it with a credential evaluation letter so hiring managers and their immigration counsel aren't guessing.
Target companies with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have previously certified LCAs for product management roles. These companies already understand the E-3 process and won't treat your sponsorship request as a novel legal exercise.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA step
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment, and errors here delay everything. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process moves cleanly from offer letter to approved visa.
Align your job description to specialty occupation criteria
Your offer letter must describe duties that normally require a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. Work with your employer to ensure the Product Management Lead job description references product strategy, technical roadmaps, or data analysis rather than general business management.
Confirm your employer's E-3 readiness before accepting an offer
Ask whether the company has filed E-3 or H-1B petitions before and whether their legal counsel is familiar with DOL's LCA prevailing wage requirements. An employer who has never sponsored anyone will face a steeper learning curve that can delay your start date.

Find Product Management Lead JobsProduct Management Lead E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Product Management Lead jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, it filters for employers with a demonstrated history of sponsoring work visas, so you're not cold-applying to companies that will decline the moment immigration comes up.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Product Management Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, computer science, engineering, or information systems. Roles focused on technical product roadmaps and cross-functional strategy are well-established as specialty occupations. If the job description is vague enough that any degree could satisfy it, USCIS may challenge the classification, so your employer's offer letter needs precise language about degree requirements.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Product Management Lead role?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there is no lottery and no cap racing. You can apply any time of year and begin work as soon as your visa is stamped. The H-1B runs a randomised lottery each April with selection odds well below 50 percent for most registrants, and the earliest a lottery winner can start is October 1. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a substantially faster and more predictable path to the same legal work authorisation.
Can I switch employers or get promoted while on an E-3?
Changing employers requires a new LCA certified by DOL and a new visa stamp, so you cannot simply transfer your existing E-3. A promotion that significantly changes your role title, duties, or worksite location may also require a new LCA even with the same employer. File the new LCA before the role change takes effect to stay in valid status and avoid gaps in your work authorisation.
