Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Project Executive
Frame your credentials for U.S. specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees, but your offer letter must tie your specific qualification to the Project Executive role. A vague job description that accepts any degree field can sink an E-3 application.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify construction, infrastructure, and professional services firms that have filed LCAs for project management roles. Prior LCA filings signal an employer already understands the sponsorship process.
Clarify multi-site scope before your employer files the LCA
Project Executive roles often span multiple worksites or client sites. Your employer must file an LCA that covers all intended work locations, and USCIS scrutinizes roles with no fixed primary worksite. Get the worksite structure confirmed in writing before the LCA is submitted.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA certification with DOL and prepares your full consulate package. This removes the coordination burden from your employer and reduces the risk of documentation errors that delay your start date.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timing
DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but your employer can't submit your consulate application until certification is complete. Build at least three weeks of buffer between your offer acceptance and proposed start date to absorb any DOL review delays.
Address contract and client arrangements in your visa documents
If your Project Executive role involves placement at a client site, your employer must demonstrate it retains day-to-day control over your work. USCIS has denied E-3 petitions where the end client appeared to be the true employer, so document the supervision structure clearly.

Find Project Executive JobsProject Executive E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Project Executive jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, it filters for employers with active E-3 and LCA filing history, so you can focus on Project Executive opportunities where sponsorship is already a realistic outcome rather than an untested ask.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Project Executive role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as construction management, civil engineering, business administration, or a related discipline. The role must require that degree as a minimum entry requirement, not just list it as preferred. Generic senior management roles that accept any degree field are harder to qualify and may require additional documentation from your employer explaining the nexus between the degree and the duties.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Project Executive roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any point in the year as soon as you have a job offer and a certified LCA. H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a random selection lottery, meaning most applicants who aren't selected must wait until the next fiscal year. For a Project Executive role with a time-sensitive start date, the E-3's predictability is a practical advantage the H-1B can't match.
Can I transfer my E-3 if I move to a new employer or project?
Yes, but the process restarts from the beginning. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if your current stamp has expired or will expire before you could travel. If you're already in the U.S. on E-3 status, you can begin working for the new employer once the new LCA is certified, but USCIS recommends your new employer also file an I-129 petition to formally update your status record. Plan the transition with enough lead time to avoid a gap in work authorization.
