Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Promotions Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in marketing or communications satisfies E-3 visa specialty occupation requirements. Have your transcripts evaluated by a credential assessment service before applying so your degree field directly maps to the Promotions Manager role.
Target companies with active LCA filing histories
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have filed LCAs for marketing or promotions titles. Prior filings signal that HR and legal teams already know the E-3 process, cutting sponsorship negotiation time significantly.
Clarify the E-3 sponsorship ask in your cover letter
Many U.S. hiring managers confuse E-3 with H-1B visa and assume a lottery is involved. State directly that E-3 is lottery-free, costs the employer no filing fee for the LCA, and can be approved in time for your start date with standard consular processing.
Confirm your job offer language meets specialty occupation standards
The LCA and visa application require the role description to demonstrate a theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge. Generic titles like 'marketing coordinator' can get flagged, so make sure your offer letter specifies duties tied to your degree field.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle LCA and visa paperwork
Once your offer is signed, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages DOL LCA submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate documentation so you aren't coordinating between your employer's HR team and the government agencies yourself.
Request your I-94 departure record before renewing
When you renew your E-3 at a consulate, USCIS and CBP will review your admission history. Pull your current I-94 record from the CBP portal before your renewal appointment to confirm your status end date and catch any entry discrepancies early.
E-3 Visa Promotions Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Promotions Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to filter Promotions Manager roles by employers with E-3 sponsorship history. Because the E-3 is exclusive to Australians and has no lottery, many employers who already sponsor H-1B or TN visa workers will extend sponsorship for E-3 applicants without a separate approval process, so targeting those companies first is the most efficient path.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Promotions Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communications, advertising, or a closely related field. Roles that accept any degree regardless of discipline are harder to qualify. Your offer letter should specify degree requirements tied to the promotional and strategic duties of the job, not just a generic 'degree preferred' clause.
How does E-3 compare to H-1B for a Promotions Manager working in the U.S.?
The E-3 is available year-round with no annual lottery and a 10,500-slot cap that has never been reached, meaning you can start in any month rather than waiting for an October 1 start date. H-1B requires lottery selection, which in recent years has meant roughly a one-in-four chance of being picked. For an Australian Promotions Manager, E-3 is a more predictable and faster path.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Promotions Manager?
Changing employers requires a new LCA filed with the DOL and a new visa stamp if you travel internationally, but you can begin working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and USCIS acknowledges the petition. An internal promotion that changes your title or duties materially may also require a new LCA to reflect the updated role and prevailing wage level.
