Sales Agent roles in the U.S. qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or communications. Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Sales Agent
Frame your degree as role-specific
E-3 approval depends on your degree matching the sales role, not just any bachelor's degree. A business or marketing degree supporting a B2B account executive position is a stronger case than a general arts degree for the same title.
Target employers with existing LCA filings
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for sales roles. These companies already understand the E-3 process and won't need convincing that sponsorship is feasible.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Sales Agent roles with E-3 sponsorship aren't always flagged openly in job listings. Migrate Mate surfaces U.S. employers actively hiring Australians for sales positions, saving you from filtering thousands of listings manually.
Clarify the LCA before accepting an offer
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can apply for the visa. Confirm this step is part of their offer process, not an afterthought, so your start date isn't delayed by a filing they weren't expecting.
Address commission structures in your visa documentation
Sales roles often include variable pay. The LCA prevailing wage requirement applies to your base salary, so confirm your offer letter separates base from commission clearly. Ambiguous compensation structures can complicate DOL certification.
File paperwork end-to-end with one service
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment, reducing the risk of documentation errors that delay your U.S. start date.

Find Sales Agent JobsSales Agent E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Sales Agent jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most job listings don't explicitly advertise E-3 sponsorship, which makes targeted searching essential. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals and surfaces Sales Agent roles at U.S. employers with a history of sponsoring E-3 visas, so you're not starting from scratch filtering generic job boards.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Sales Agent role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. A general retail sales position typically won't qualify, but a B2B account executive, enterprise sales manager, or solutions consultant role that requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field can meet the specialty occupation standard. The job description and your degree need to align clearly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Sales Agent roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and has no lottery, so you can apply any time of year once you have a job offer. The H-1B has an annual cap and a randomised lottery with roughly one-in-four selection odds. For Australians in sales, the E-3 is a more direct and predictable path to U.S. work authorisation.
Can I change sales employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filing and a fresh visa application or consulate appointment. You can start working for a new employer once the new LCA is certified and your paperwork is in order. There's no portability provision like AC21 under the E-3, so plan your transition timeline carefully with your new employer.
