Frame your credentials for U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or analytics satisfies the E-3 visa specialty occupation requirement. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before applying so employers can confirm equivalency without delays.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for sales operations or revenue operations roles. Prior LCA activity signals the employer already understands the E-3 filing process and won't stall at the paperwork stage.
Find E-3 sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Sales Operations Specialist roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship history. The platform surfaces employers with active LCA filings, so you spend less time on cold outreach and more time on qualified opportunities.
Clarify the specialty occupation case before accepting an offer
Sales operations titles vary widely. Before signing, confirm the role requires a degree in a specific field like business analytics or finance, not just any bachelor's degree. A generically worded job description can complicate your LCA if the DOL questions specialty occupation status.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, the LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA submission through consulate preparation, removing the administrative burden from both you and your employer.
Prepare for consulate questions about your operational role
E-3 consulate officers sometimes probe whether sales operations work is genuinely specialized. Bring documentation linking your degree field directly to the role's core functions, such as CRM management, revenue forecasting, or process automation, not just general business duties.
E-3 Visa Sales Operations Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Sales Operations Specialist jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find Sales Operations Specialist roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship. The platform filters by visa type and surfaces employers with LCA filing history for this role category, so you can focus on companies already set up to sponsor Australian professionals rather than cold-pitching employers who have never navigated the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Sales Operations Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business analytics, finance, or management information systems. Roles framed around CRM administration, revenue operations, or sales forecasting typically satisfy the specialty occupation definition. Titles with vague requirements like 'any degree accepted' are harder to support at the DOL LCA stage and at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Sales Operations Specialist roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens but carries significant advantages for this role. There is no annual lottery, no cap to exhaust, and no registration fee. You can apply year-round whenever you have a qualified job offer. The H-1B visa requires lottery selection in April each year and has a 65,000 regular cap, meaning many qualified candidates never get a slot regardless of merit.
Can I switch employers after starting work on an E-3 in a sales operations role?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA and a new visa stamp if you're traveling internationally. You can begin working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and the new E-3 petition is filed, but you cannot simply transfer your existing visa to the new company. Planning the timing around any upcoming international travel avoids gaps in work authorization.
