E-3 Visa Salesforce Engineer Jobs
Salesforce Engineer roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, making it a more predictable path to U.S. employment than the H-1B visa for Australian nationals.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Salesforce Engineer
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
USCIS evaluates Salesforce Engineer roles against the specialty occupation definition. Make sure your degree field matches your job duties, a computer science or information systems degree supports the case more cleanly than a general business degree.
Target employers with active Salesforce implementation practices
Companies running large-scale Salesforce deployments, consulting firms, enterprise SaaS businesses, and financial services, hire Salesforce Engineers regularly and are more likely to have E-3 visa sponsorship experience than employers making a one-off hire.
Clarify the LCA requirement before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before you can apply for the E-3. Confirm your hiring manager knows this step exists, many U.S. employers haven't run an E-3 before and assume it works like a standard job offer.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage employer paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This keeps the process moving without requiring your employer to engage a law firm or navigate DOL filing for the first time.
Request a remote start while your consulate appointment clears
E-3 consulate wait times vary by city. If you're currently outside the U.S., negotiate a remote start date so work can begin while you wait for your appointment in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth.
Prepare a certified LCA copy for your consulate interview
Bring a DOL-certified LCA to your consulate appointment alongside your DS-160 and employer support letter. Consular officers can and do ask about the prevailing wage details on the LCA, so review the certified document before your interview.
E-3 Visa Salesforce Engineer: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Salesforce Engineer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers have E-3 filing history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never run the process before.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Salesforce Engineer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field, typically computer science, information systems, or software engineering. Roles that involve configuring, developing, or architecting Salesforce solutions meet this standard. Where it gets complicated is when a job description lists 'bachelor's degree preferred' rather than required, which weakens the specialty occupation case and can create issues at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Salesforce Engineers?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with selection rates around 25%, meaning most applicants aren't selected. For Australian Salesforce Engineers, the E-3 is a far more direct path to U.S. employment and doesn't require waiting for a fiscal year cycle.
Can I change Salesforce employers while on an E-3?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with your new employer. They must file a new LCA with the DOL before you can begin work, and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally. If you remain in the U.S. and your current status is still valid, you can change employers after the new LCA is certified without leaving the country.
