Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Translate your AWS or Azure certifications
U.S. hiring managers assess cloud credentials differently than Australian employers do. Frame your certifications alongside degree equivalency documentation early, so recruiters can confirm specialty occupation status before extending an offer.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs under cloud or infrastructure job titles. Those employers already understand the E-3 process and won't need educating at the offer stage.
Secure a signed offer before the LCA is filed
The DOL requires a certified LCA before your visa interview, and the LCA must reflect your actual job title and worksite. Having an offer letter with a defined role and location prevents delays caused by vague or placeholder filing details.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This avoids the coordination overhead between you, your employer's HR team, and the consulate appointment process.
Verify your Australian degree meets specialty occupation rules
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes, but your transcript and major must directly relate to the cloud infrastructure role you're accepting.

Find Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer JobsSenior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search, since it filters specifically for roles open to E-3 visa holders rather than mixing in positions restricted to U.S. citizens or H-1B candidates only. Cloud infrastructure roles at technology companies, financial services firms, and enterprise software businesses are among the most active E-3 sponsors, and filtering by confirmed sponsorship intent saves significant time in your search.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer positions consistently meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Roles involving cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and multi-cloud platform management carry strong theoretical and practical degree requirements that USCIS and consular officers recognise under this classification.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineers?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any point in the year and receive a decision based on merit rather than chance. H-1B registrations are subject to an annual lottery with a selection rate that has historically been well below 50%. For Australian engineers in cloud roles, the E-3 is a direct path that bypasses the uncertainty and multi-year wait that H-1B applicants often face.
Can I transfer my E-3 status if I change cloud infrastructure employers in the U.S.?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filing and a new E-3 visa or change of status application. You cannot simply transfer the existing visa to a new employer the way some other visa categories allow. You'll need a new certified LCA reflecting the new employer, role title, and prevailing wage before your status with the new company is authorised.
