INTRODUCTION
Apple is where individual imaginations gather together to do great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. We’d love to work with you.
DESCRIPTION
This team nurtures state-of-the-art intelligence ideas into powerful, usable features and systems. We work with the latest AI research and our talented research teams to build innovative implementations of those ideas on Apple platforms. We discuss, debate, and iterate to quickly find out what works, what doesn’t, and what will make of the most magical user experience. We’re a small, nimble team, with varied skills, that collaborates to make the best products.
Responsibilities
- Research, discuss, and debate the latest in intelligence capabilities across the industry, and the ways those capabilities could form the foundation of future Apple features and products.
- Collaborate with ML/AI engineers, systems engineers, and designers to build functional prototypes.
- Be able to quickly build an idea so you and the team can work with hands-on products. Then iterate on the best of those prototypes.
- Build things that you may not be convinced are the best direction or where there may not be clear precedent. Being able to compare, contrast, and discuss all ideas will help bring the best ones forward.
- Work well in the spaces between Design, engineering, and research, to create magical user experiences.
- Craft systems and UIs that work for demoing new ideas, but also provide mechanisms to observe and debug how these systems behave.
- Help define frameworks for how UI in AI systems should work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of proven experience in software development. Ideally on Apple platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Deep experience with at least one major Apple UI framework: SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC) and object-oriented design principles commonly used on Apple platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated interest or experience in AI systems, or integrating AI features into existing systems.
- Experience building experiences with dynamic and fluid UI.
- BS, MS, or PhD in software engineering or a related field like interaction design.

Translate your Australian degree for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering satisfies E-3 specialty occupation requirements. Get a credential evaluation from a USCIS-recognized evaluator before interviews so you can confirm equivalency immediately when employers ask.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for UI or front-end engineering roles. Prior LCA filings signal an employer already understands the E-3 process and is set up to move quickly.
Get your offer letter job duties E-3 specific
The LCA and DS-160 require a precise job title and duties description tied to a specialty occupation. Push your employer to list specific UI engineering responsibilities, required degree field, and the SOC code rather than generic language that could complicate DOL certification.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage post-offer paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle LCA submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate appointment coordination. This removes the back-and-forth with employers who have never sponsored an E-3 and keeps your start date on track.
Confirm your employer's E-Verify status before signing
E-Verify enrollment is not required for E-3 sponsorship, but some employers restrict visa sponsorship to roles at E-Verify-enrolled entities due to internal HR policy. Confirm their enrollment status and any sponsorship policy gates before you begin the LCA process to avoid delays after signing.

Find Senior UI Engineer JobsSenior UI Engineer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Senior UI Engineer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 visa sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, it filters for employers familiar with the E-3 process, so you're not spending time on roles where sponsorship is a non-starter. Search by job title and location to find verified Senior UI Engineer openings.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior UI Engineer role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes. Senior UI Engineer roles qualify because they typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, human-computer interaction, or a closely related field as a standard entry requirement. The DOL and USCIS assess specialty occupation status based on whether the role normally requires a specific degree, and front-end engineering roles at the senior level consistently meet that standard.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Senior UI Engineer roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so your start date depends on processing time rather than a random selection event. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a lottery that most applicants don't win in a given year. For Senior UI Engineers with Australian citizenship, the E-3 is a straightforward consular process that can be completed in weeks once an offer is in hand.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Senior UI Engineer?
You can change employers, but the new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally after the switch. A promotion or title change at the same employer that significantly alters your job duties may also require an amended LCA. Plan the timing around any international travel to avoid needing to reapply at the consulate mid-employment.
