- Industry Exposure: Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment, along with advanced financial analysis or process management skills, is a plus.
- Technology: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Office), particularly Excel; experience with spend analytics, contract databases, ticketing or workflow tools, and procure-to-pay (P2P) systems strongly preferred.

Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa purposes. Prepare a credential summary that maps your qualification to the supply chain or business specialty the role requires.
Target procurement teams at multinational manufacturers
Sourcing Analyst roles are most consistently sponsored at companies with cross-border supply chains who already understand work visa obligations. Focus your search on firms with established procurement functions and international operations rather than early-stage startups.
Search for E-3 sponsorship jobs on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Sourcing Analyst roles by employers with active E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which companies will file. Use it to build a shortlist before you spend time on applications.
Confirm the role meets specialty occupation requirements
The E-3 requires the position to normally demand a bachelor's degree in a specific field. If a job posting says a degree is preferred rather than required, that wording can create problems at the LCA stage and needs to be resolved with your employer before filing.
Ask your employer to file the LCA before you resign
DOL Labor Condition Application certification typically takes seven business days but can run longer. Get your employer to start the LCA process as soon as the offer is finalised so your consulate appointment isn't delayed by paperwork still pending at the agency.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
From LCA submission through to consulate appointment preparation, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the entire process. This is especially useful if your employer has no prior E-3 experience and needs guided support on their obligations.
E-3 Visa Sourcing Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Sourcing Analyst jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Sourcing Analyst roles from employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you can focus on opportunities where the visa process is already understood. General job boards don't filter by visa type, which means a lot of wasted applications to employers who won't file.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Sourcing Analyst role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, provided the position normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, business administration, or operations. Roles where any degree or equivalent experience substitutes for a specific field of study are harder to support. The job description and your credentials both need to align clearly with the specialty occupation definition.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Sourcing Analyst positions?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, but it has significant advantages over the H-1B visa for this role. There's no lottery, no annual cap, and processing can be completed in weeks rather than months. You can apply directly at an Australian consulate after receiving a certified LCA from the DOL, without waiting for USCIS petition approval.
Can I switch employers while on an E-3 as a Sourcing Analyst?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified for the new employer before you start. The E-3 is employer-specific, so your current approval doesn't transfer. If you're changing roles within the same employer but into a materially different position, a new LCA may also be required. Plan for a two-to-four week DOL certification window when timing any transition.
