Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Strategic Sales Executive
Frame your degree for U.S. specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Have your transcripts ready to show the field of study directly supports a Strategic Sales Executive role, not just any business function.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have previously certified LCAs for sales leadership roles. Employers familiar with the process move faster and are less likely to stall on sponsorship.
Address the specialty occupation question early
Not every Strategic Sales Executive role qualifies automatically. Roles requiring a bachelor's in a specific field like marketing, business, or finance are stronger candidates. If the job description says 'degree preferred,' push your employer to change it to 'degree required' before the LCA is filed.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your offer stage
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This prevents delays from employer-side filing errors and ensures your consulate appointment is properly supported.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
Consular officers will assess whether you plan to return to Australia. Senior sales roles with regional or global responsibility can raise dual-intent scrutiny. Have a clear, honest explanation of your U.S. assignment scope and Australian ties ready before your interview.
Confirm prevailing wage before accepting your offer
Your employer must certify with the DOL that your salary meets the prevailing wage for your role and location. Verify this before signing your offer letter so there are no renegotiations after the LCA is submitted, which can delay your start date.

Find Strategic Sales Executive JobsStrategic Sales Executive E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Strategic Sales Executive jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most job boards don't filter by visa type, so you're left guessing which employers will sponsor. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals and surfaces Strategic Sales Executive roles from employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not spending time on applications that will go nowhere.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Strategic Sales Executive role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, but the role has to require a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree or equivalent experience. Job descriptions that list business, marketing, finance, or a related field as required, not preferred, are the strongest candidates. If the posting is vague, ask the employer to tighten the language before the LCA is submitted to the DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Strategic Sales Executive roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply any time of year and start within weeks of your consulate appointment. The H-1B requires registration in March and a lottery draw, meaning many qualified applicants wait a year or more. For sales roles where timing and deal cycles matter, the E-3's speed is a real advantage.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Strategic Sales Executive?
Yes, but it's not a simple transfer. Your new employer needs to file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa, typically at a U.S. consulate in Australia or a third country. You can't just start the new role on your existing visa stamp, so plan for a gap between resignation and your new start date.
