Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Trust And Safety
Frame your degree as specialty occupation evidence
Trust and Safety roles can face specialty occupation scrutiny because job descriptions vary widely. Document how your degree in psychology, criminology, or computer science directly underpins the role's core responsibilities before approaching employers.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for Trust and Safety or Policy roles understand the E-3 process. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data to identify which employers have certified LCAs for comparable positions.
Search E-3 sponsorship roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you receive an offer. Finding employers who already sponsor E-3 workers in trust and safety shortens your timeline considerably.
Prepare a credential equivalency statement upfront
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees, but your employer's counsel may request documentation. A credential evaluation from a NACES-member organisation resolves this before the LCA stage.
Clarify contractor versus direct hire structures early
Many Trust and Safety roles are staffed through third-party contractors or outsourced moderation firms. The E-3 requires a direct employer-employee relationship, so confirm the hiring entity is the same organisation sponsoring your LCA.
Time your application around USCIS processing windows
The E-3 is processed at the consulate, not through USCIS petition review, so you avoid standard I-129 wait times. Australian consulates typically schedule E-3 interviews within two to six weeks, making offer-to-start timelines far shorter than H-1B.

Find Trust And Safety JobsTrust And Safety E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Trust and Safety jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point for Australian professionals searching for Trust and Safety roles that include E-3 sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with active E-3 filing history in policy, content moderation, and platform integrity, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never navigated the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Trust and Safety role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined and what degree the employer requires. Trust and Safety positions that mandate a bachelor's degree in psychology, criminology, law, communications, or computer science typically qualify. Roles with vague education requirements or where any degree field is accepted are harder to support, and employers may need to document the theoretical and practical connection between the degree and the job duties.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Trust and Safety professionals?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, meaning you can apply any time of year and receive a decision at the consulate within weeks rather than months. H-1B requires registration in a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate, and approved petitions only take effect October 1. For Australian nationals in Trust and Safety, the E-3 is the faster and more predictable path by a significant margin.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa to a new Trust and Safety employer?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with each employer. Your new employer must file a new LCA with the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance, and you'll need to attend a new consular interview to receive a visa stamp for the new position. There's no portability provision as with H-1B, so factor in a two-to-six week consulate appointment window when negotiating your start date with the new employer.
