The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
Corning is seeking a Chief Enterprise Architect to help shape the future of our Digital & Information Technology organization.
In this key leadership role, you will modernize Enterprise Architecture into a product-centric, business-enabling capability that helps teams move faster, scale AI and data, and align products, platforms, and technology across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead Corning’s Enterprise Architecture vision, principles, and operating model
- Build and evolve a modern EA practice focused on speed, agility, and business value
- Partner with product, platform, and data leaders to support Corning’s transition to a product operating model
- Establish enterprise patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures to improve integration and reduce friction
- Help scale AI, data, and platform capabilities across the organization
- Collaborate with InfoSec, Legal, and technology leaders to embed governance, security, and compliance into architecture
- Lead and mentor a federated architecture community across solution, platform, and data architecture
Experiences/Education - Required
- 15+ years of enterprise architecture or related technical leadership experience
- 5+ years in a senior architecture leadership role
- Experience transforming Enterprise Architecture from a traditional centralized model to a federated, product-aligned approach
- Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI, and LLMs
- Proven ability to influence across business and technology leadership in a complex global organization
- Experience building enterprise standards, governance models, and architectural guardrails
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, R&D, or materials science environments
- Cloud platform expertise across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Background leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with product management frameworks and product-centric operating models

The range for this position is $184,157.00 - $253,216.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
