ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Jabil is looking to hire a Maintenance Tech to work in its Asheville, NC. The schedule for this opening is 12 Hour Shifts 8am-8pm (work Monday & Tuesday; off Wednesday & Thursday; work Friday-Sunday; off Monday & Tuesday; work Wednesday & Thursday; and off Friday-Sunday).
How will you make an impact?
As a Maintenance Technician with Jabil, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs on equipment, fixtures, and systems, and duties include troubleshooting, conducting inspections, and keeping maintenance records.
What will you do?
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Performs feeder maintenance, repair and data tracking.

May provide assistance in the following areas:

Troubleshoot to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manual, rough sketches or drawings.
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
- May be required to work overtime.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- High School or GED Required. Associates degree in electronics preferred.
- At least 1 year of work-related experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment OR an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Use of basic hand tools and equipment.
- Understanding of safety practices and requirements.
- Experience utilizing Windows Products (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Ability to climb to heights measuring about 8-9 ft.
- Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
