INTRODUCTION
This role is responsible for streamlining common initiatives, ensuring alignment and unity, and executing design work meeting quality standards and timelines. The role involves identifying team needs for process, tools, and documentation improvements, and conducting design reviews. The role focuses on developing scalable design systems, collaborating with platform architects, and managing project administration. The role applies design thinking methods to translate requirements into hypotheses and facilitate research, and coordinates with project managers for seamless project design.
Responsibilities
- The primary function of this role is the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the pumped chemicals systems that support fab operations. This includes but is not limited to chemical distribution manifold systems, chemical deliveries, hookup and disconnection of chemical totes, drums, and bottles.
- Streamlines activities under common initiatives, managing achievements and touchpoints to ensure alignment and unity.
- Executes design work that consistently meets defined quality standards within specified timelines.
- Identifies team needs regarding processes, tools, documentation, and asset management, and drives necessary changes to enhance efficiency.
- Conducts design reviews of blocks with peers and management to demonstrate that designs meet specification targets and requirements.
- Develops design systems and standards that can scale across organizations and can be deployed across various global businesses.
- Collaborates with platform architects and systems groups to define overall specifications based on system requirements.
- Acts as the project management administrator to ensure all required project information and documentation are provided clearly on drawing sets.
- Applies design thinking methods, translating requirements into hypotheses, conducting research, and facilitating activities to uncover connections with products.
- Generates innovative new product ideas through collaborative team brainstorming and exploration, and fosters the team's knowledge of best design practices and trends in design.
- Provides guidance, mentoring, and training to individual contributors in lower-level roles, and contributes to their growth in the organization.
- Cleaning and rebuilding chemical pumps, valves, piping, and other delivery components.
- New tool installations and startup permit verification signoffs, perform lockout tagout, and after-hours response.
- Abilities to wear a full face respirator and or PAPR along with chemical resistant clothing while performing tasks involving chemicals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in product design, or a related field.
- Heavy industrial work environment, semiconductor, chemical operations.

The pay range for this position is $59,000 to $82,000 USD annually (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
