Responsibilities

- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical components, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client expectations.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and other industry-standard tools to generate accurate bids efficiently.
- Conduct thorough construction site reviews and analyze project scope to identify potential risks, opportunities for cost savings, and ensure NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance.
- Manage material cost estimating and pricing strategies while maintaining strict cost control throughout the bidding process.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers through effective negotiation to secure contracts that meet project budgets and objectives.
- Review construction contracts, manage project budgets, and oversee cost management efforts to ensure profitability and adherence to financial targets.
- Interpret electrical building codes, NFPA standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant regulations during the estimation process.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure accurate material take-offs using tools like Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup.
- Support project management teams during the construction phase by providing ongoing cost analysis, change order evaluations, and ensuring electrical systems are installed within budget.
