Start by targeting the sectors that hire executive assistants most heavily in New York: financial services, law firms, media companies, and tech firms clustered in Midtown, the Financial District, and Hudson Yards. Candidates who stand out locally tend to have experience supporting C-suite executives in fast-paced environments, strong calendar and travel coordination skills, and familiarity with the high-stakes, high-volume demands typical of New York offices.
Which companies hire executive assistants in New York?

Are there remote executive assistant jobs in New York?
Yes, though executive assistant roles are less remote-friendly than many office jobs because of their hands-on, in-person support nature. About 29% of executive assistant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common at tech and media companies. Tasks like scheduling and correspondence adapt more easily to remote work than in-office executive coordination.

New York staffing agencies that specialize in professional services placements regularly place entry-level candidates in temp-to-hire roles at law firms, financial services companies, and media groups. Building proficiency in tools like Outlook, Concur, and executive travel platforms gives candidates a concrete edge with New York employers.
