Field Marketing Associate Jobs in Montana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing associate in Montana?
Most field marketing associate roles in Montana require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business communications, or a related discipline, though some employers accept equivalent experience in outside sales or brand promotion. Montana has no state-issued license specific to this role. The practical path is to build territory or event marketing experience through internships, retail promotions, or sales coordinator roles at Montana-based retailers, distributors, or outdoor recreation brands before stepping into a full associate position.
Which companies hire field marketing associates in Montana?
Companies currently hiring field marketing associates in Montana include Granite Peak Home Health, Big Sky Boyne Resort, and University of Providence, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Montana's outdoor recreation, agriculture, and retail distribution sectors tend to drive the most consistent field marketing demand across the state.
Which Montana cities have the most field marketing associate jobs?
Missoula, Big Sky, and Billings hold the most field marketing associate openings in Montana. Billings leads because it is the state's largest commercial hub, home to major retail corridors and regional distribution centers, while Missoula and Bozeman support demand through fast-growing consumer markets, university populations, and a concentration of outdoor and lifestyle brands with active local field marketing programs.
Are there remote field marketing associate jobs in Montana?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing associate work is hands-on by nature, requiring in-store visits, event staffing, and direct territory coverage that can't be done remotely. About 40% of field marketing associate openings tied to Montana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those roles typically involve reporting, campaign coordination, or regional planning rather than on-the-ground activation.
How can I get hired as a field marketing associate in Montana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a brand ambassador or retail sales coordinator role at a Montana-based retailer, outdoor equipment dealer, or consumer goods distributor, where you build direct territory and event skills that translate directly into a field marketing associate position. Employers like regional grocery chains, farm and ranch supply stores, and outdoor recreation companies regularly bring on entry-level candidates for promotional and sales support work. A completed marketing degree or a digital marketing certification strengthens a new application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in Montana?
You can find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in Montana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your experience and location, and apply directly to each position.
