Field Operations Coordinator Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field operations coordinator in Rhode Island?
Most Rhode Island employers expect a bachelor's degree in operations, business administration, or a related field, though significant field experience can substitute in industries like utilities and public works. Rhode Island does not require a specific state license for this title, but roles in environmental or utility operations may require OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management compliance requirements. Building experience through dispatcher, field technician, or project coordinator roles is the most common path.
Which companies hire field operations coordinators in Rhode Island?
Employers hiring field operations coordinators in Rhode Island right now include Gilbane, StrongHouse, and ConcertoCare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's healthcare, utility, and state agency sectors tend to generate the most consistent openings for this role year-round.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most field operations coordinator jobs?
Providence, Warwick, and Cranston have the most field operations coordinator openings in Rhode Island. Providence anchors the market as the state's largest employment center, home to major healthcare systems and state agencies, while Warwick and Pawtucket draw openings from logistics operators, utility providers, and facilities management firms serving greater metropolitan Rhode Island.
Are there remote field operations coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, but they're rare. Field operations coordinators are typically required on-site or in the field to manage crews, inspect sites, and coordinate logistics in real time. About 36% of field operations coordinator openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to concentrate in scheduling, reporting, and administrative coordination tasks rather than hands-on field supervision.
How can I get hired as a field operations coordinator in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a field technician, dispatcher, or operations assistant role at a Rhode Island employer such as Lifespan, National Grid, or a facilities management contractor, then moving into coordination as you build site and scheduling experience. Rhode Island's public sector, including the Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Management, regularly posts associate-level operations roles that serve as a formal entry point. Earning an OSHA 10 certification and demonstrating proficiency in work order software gives candidates a concrete edge over others without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to field operations coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to field operations coordinator jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings in the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to each one that fits.
