S2 Signs is a Colorado sign company specializing in real estate signage throughout the Front Range.

We're hiring a full-time Field Service Technician / Installer based in the Denver metro area.

Despite being a sign company, we're **not necessarily looking for an experienced sign installer**.

We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person who is comfortable working outdoors, driving throughout the metro area, performing straightforward physical work, and managing a daily route without someone standing over them.

If you've worked in construction, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, property maintenance, field service, handyman work, delivery/service routes, or another hands-on trade, you may be a great fit.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

Most days you'll start from our Denver-area staging location, get into a company installation vehicle, and run a scheduled route of jobs throughout the Denver metro area and surrounding communities.

A typical stop might involve:

* Digging two or more post holes for a commercial real estate sign
* Installing a commercial real estate post-and-panel sign
* Installing a residential real estate yard-arm sign, which requires no digging
* Removing an existing sign
* Changing a sign panel or rider
* Performing minor maintenance
* Hanging an occasional banner
* Taking completion photos
* Updating the office that the job is finished
* Getting back in the truck and heading to the next stop

Some stops take only a few minutes. Others take longer depending on the site and type of work.

There is a significant amount of driving between jobs.

For someone coming from a physically demanding construction or outdoor trade, much of the actual labor involved in this position may feel considerably easier than what you're used to.

Reliability Is the Most Important Qualification

Our customers depend on us to complete work when we say we will.

That means we need someone who takes their work schedule seriously and can be counted on to show up and complete the day's assigned route.

This is outdoor work in Colorado.

You'll work during hot summer weather, cold winter weather, wind, light snow, and the normal range of Colorado conditions.

We understand that genuinely unsafe conditions occasionally occur.

But normal Colorado weather is part of the job.

Once your regular work schedule is established, we expect you to treat it as a commitment.

The position will generally follow one of two schedules:

**Tuesday through Saturday**

or

**Sunday through Thursday**

Both schedules provide two consecutive days off each week.

The final schedule will be determined with the person we hire.

Safe Driving Is a Major Part of the Job

A large portion of your day will be spent driving a company vehicle, so we take driving behavior seriously.

Denver traffic happens.

Construction happens.

Accidents happen.

Sometimes a drive that should take 30 minutes takes an hour.

That's okay.

**You're being paid for the time you're sitting in traffic.**

Put on some music, listen to a podcast or audiobook, and get there safely.

We do not want someone trying to make up five minutes by speeding, driving aggressively, making unsafe lane changes, getting angry at other drivers, or taking unnecessary risks.

Patient, defensive driving is part of doing this job well.

When Something Doesn't Look Right — Call Us

Every property is different.

You may encounter an old concrete footing, underground utilities, an unexpected mounting surface, incorrect measurements, unusual property conditions, or something that simply doesn't match the work order.

We don't want you guessing.

We don't want you experimenting on a customer's property.

**Stop and call the office.**

You'll have experienced people available who can help determine how the situation should be handled.

Working independently does not mean being left without support.

Good judgment means knowing when a normal installation has become something that requires another set of eyes.

Typical Responsibilities

* Run scheduled installation, maintenance, and removal routes
* Install commercial real estate post-and-panel signs
* Install residential real estate yard signs
* Remove existing signs
* Change sign panels and riders
* Perform basic sign maintenance
* Hang occasional banners
* Take clear completion photos
* Report completed work and unusual site conditions
* Perform a **daily vehicle inspection**
* Maintain an accurate **company vehicle log**
* Monitor vehicle mileage and scheduled maintenance so oil changes and other service are completed on time
* Keep the company truck clean, organized, stocked, and cared for
* Maintain and replenish basic tools, hardware, posts, and installation supplies
* Return removed sign assemblies and materials
* Report to our Loveland shop **at least twice each week** for materials, equipment, replenishment, vehicle/tool review, and coordination with the rest of the team

The company truck is effectively your **mobile office**.

We expect it to be treated accordingly.

It needs to remain clean, organized, properly stocked, inspected, and maintained.

The vehicle is essential to performing the job. Taking care of it is a core responsibility of the position.

* Willing to work outdoors year-round
* Able to keep a company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized

Previous Sign Experience Is NOT Required

Sign installation experience is certainly welcome, but it is not necessary.

People coming from backgrounds such as these may be especially well suited to the position:

We can teach you how we install signs.

What is harder to teach is reliability, patience, good judgment, safe driving, and taking pride in doing your job well.

Guaranteed Full-Time Work

This is a **40-hour-per-week position**.

We have year-round field work, and if installation volume is temporarily light there is always additional work available at our Loveland production facility.

Some weeks may also include additional hours depending on workload, travel, weather, or special projects.

Overtime is paid when applicable.

Compensation

**$30.00–$35.00 per hour**, depending on experience, ability, and overall fit.

Paid leave accrues based on hours worked. Additional PTO may be available under company policy.

Company Vehicle and Phone

A company installation vehicle is provided for work use.

The truck will generally remain at our Denver-area staging location and is intended for company business.

Keeping the vehicle clean, organized, stocked, inspected, and serviced on schedule is part of the job.

A **company phone is provided** for routing, job information, communication, completion photos, and other work-related use.

Occasional Larger Projects

The everyday job is primarily commercial and residential real estate installation, maintenance, and removal work.

From time to time, you'll also have an opportunity to assist with larger commercial or electric sign installations.

Those aren't the everyday assignment, but they can be a fun change of pace and an opportunity to learn additional skills.
