Field Service Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field service manager in Florida?
Most field service managers in Florida move into the role after several years as a field technician or service coordinator in their industry. Florida does not issue a single state license for field service managers, but certain industries add credential requirements: HVAC roles often expect an EPA 608 certification, biomedical equipment positions may require CBET certification, and electrical service managers in Florida typically hold a state-issued contractor's license through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technical field strengthens candidacy for larger employers.
How much do field service managers make in Florida?
Field service managers in Florida earn a median of about $75,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,740 for the lowest 10% to over $116,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field service managers in Florida?
Employers hiring field service managers in Florida right now include 626, ProAutomated, and Marine Travelift and ExacTech, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's heavy concentration of healthcare systems, commercial construction, and hospitality infrastructure means demand is consistent across both large national service contractors and regional Florida-based operators.
Which Florida cities have the most field service manager jobs?
Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville account for the largest share of field service manager openings in Florida. Miami drives demand through its dense healthcare, commercial real estate, and international logistics activity, Tampa concentrates hiring around industrial manufacturing and utility service operations, and Orlando's tourism infrastructure and rapid suburban growth create consistent openings for HVAC, security, and facilities service management roles.
Are there remote field service manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Field service manager roles are fundamentally tied to on-site operations, technician oversight, and customer locations, which limits full remote work. About 30% of field service manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be in dispatch coordination, technical support management, or regional oversight roles where travel replaces daily office presence.
How can I get hired as a field service manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to build field experience first by working as a service technician, field coordinator, or operations associate in your target industry and then transitioning into a team lead role. Large Florida employers like AdventHealth, Siemens, and Carrier periodically run rotational or associate programs that develop technicians into supervisory roles. Earning an industry-specific credential such as EPA 608 for HVAC or CBET for biomedical equipment makes candidates from adjacent roles, including account coordinators and technical support specialists, considerably more competitive for first-time management openings.
Where can I find and apply to field service manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to field service manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metro areas. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
