EV Charging Field Service Technician — New Jersey
Be the person who gets the charger working again.
WHE Partners designs, builds, and maintains EV charging sites across New York and New Jersey. We're hiring a field technician to own service calls across New Jersey on ChargePoint and other Level 2 and DC fast-charging equipment.
You diagnose it, you fix it, you close it out — with a project manager, electricians and our in-house engineering team behind you. When the service board is quiet you'll support new projects: site walks and utility scoping meetings, commissioning, DOB and utility inspections, and project closeout.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot chargers, power electronics, and network/connectivity issues on site
- Complete repairs and preventive maintenance; work manufacturer support cases to resolution
- Document every call — findings, parts, photos, resolution — so each ticket has a clear close
- Represent WHE at utility site visits and scoping meetings; clear inspection and utility field items and close out completed projects
- Commission new stations
What we're looking for
- Hands-on electrical or EV charging service experience; comfortable working on 480 V equipment. We've had good results bringing on sharp junior techs and training them up — if you have the fundamentals and the attitude, apply.
- ChargePoint Certified Technician, or willing to get certified in the first 90 days (we pay for it)
- Clear with customers, clear with the office, organized across multiple sites
- Valid driver's license and clean record
