Candidates typically build their path through product marketing, sales operations, or demand generation roles at California technology or consumer companies, then move into dedicated GTM positions as they develop launch experience and cross-functional leadership skills.
How much do go to market strategies make in California?
Go to market strategies in California earn a median of about $193,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,370 for the lowest 10% to over $326,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire go to market strategys in California?
Employers hiring go to market strategys in California right now include SentiLink, Crunchyroll, and Databricks, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's dense concentration of enterprise software, SaaS, and media companies means GTM hiring tends to be continuous rather than seasonal, especially in the Bay Area and Los Angeles markets.
Which California cities have the most go to market strategy jobs?
Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Foster City have the most go to market strategy openings in California. San Francisco leads because of its concentration of SaaS and cloud infrastructure companies headquartered there, Los Angeles draws GTM talent through its media, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer brands, and San Diego's growing life sciences and cybersecurity sectors generate consistent demand for go to market professionals.
