Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice President of Unit Growth Integration is responsible for leading the end-to-end unit growth lifecycle across the Crunch franchise system. This executive serves as the organization’s central growth integrator, aligning real estate, construction, design, franchise development, operations, finance, legal, procurement, and franchisee support to ensure the successful delivery of 100+ annual club openings.
The role is accountable for creating and optimizing a scalable development engine that delivers predictable growth, accelerates speed-to-market, preserves brand standards, strengthens franchisee returns, and enhances enterprise value.
CORE PURPOSE
To lead and continuously improve the systems, processes, partnerships, and organizational capabilities required to deliver predictable, high-velocity unit growth across the Crunch franchise system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Development Execution & Growth Delivery
- Reduce cycle time from LOI to opening.
- Eliminate development bottlenecks and improve speed-to-open.
- Ensure consistent execution of prototype and brand standards.
- Deliver predictable opening readiness and on-time openings across all markets.
2. Program & Portfolio Management
- Own development pipeline forecasting from LOI through opening.
- Manage critical path timelines across all projects.
- Maintain visibility into development performance, cost variance, cycle times, and contractor effectiveness.
- Drive accountability, transparency, and predictability throughout the development lifecycle.
3. Franchisee Economics & Capital Discipline
- Ensure development decisions support franchisee profitability and long-term growth.
- Maintain disciplined CapEx management and cost predictability.
- Optimize vendor and contractor relationships.
- Evaluate development initiatives through the lens of ROI, scalability, and unit-level economics.
4. Franchisee & Stakeholder Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with franchisees and development partners.
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and communication standards.
- Coach franchisees through the development process while protecting system standards.
- Resolve issues proactively and escalate risks appropriately.
5. Organizational & Strategic Leadership
- Assess organizational readiness to achieve annual development targets.
- Identify and mitigate constraints to future growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing development organization.
- Build scalable vendor, consultant, and contractor networks.
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth planning and execution.
6. Executive Problem Solving & Risk Management
- Lead effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Resolve project delays and recover schedules quickly.
- Navigate uncertainty with professionalism, clarity, and decisiveness.
- Provide executive-level visibility into development risks, performance, and forecast accuracy.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in construction, development, real estate, or multi-unit growth environments.
- Proven success scaling franchise, retail, fitness, restaurant, or hospitality development programs.
- Experience supporting organizations delivering 50+ annual openings.
- Strong understanding of construction, real estate, franchise economics, and capital planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
- Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to improve speed-to-open while maintaining quality, consistency, and financial discipline.
