We are seeking a highly skilled Americas BT & IT – Application Specialist – SAP FICO to join our IT team in Calvert, North Mobile County, AL.
Objective: The Application Specialist – SAP FICO will play a key role in the company’s business transformation initiatives by partnering with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency. This role will leverage expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules to design and implement enhancements, support financial process optimization, and deliver scalable solutions that improve reporting, compliance, and business performance. The position will also support the organization’s SAP modernization roadmap, including Unicode conversion activities and migration from ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration and support experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO processes including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis.
- Experience supporting financial process improvement and business transformation initiatives.
- Experience gathering and documenting functional business requirements.
- Experience creating functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
- Experience supporting SAP testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Experience working with SAP integrations and cross-functional financial processes.
- Knowledge of SAP financial controls, reporting, and compliance best practices.
- Experience supporting or participating in SAP implementation, upgrade, or enhancement projects.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Unicode conversion processes and related impacts to business and system functionality.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance functionality and business process changes.
- Working knowledge of ABAP development concepts and functional specifications.
- Experience working with ABAP developers on reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- SAP certification or S/4HANA Finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with Finance and business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
- Manage day-to-day support activities through ticketing (ServiceNOW).
- Support business transformation initiatives through SAP FICO solutions.
- Configure and maintain SAP FI/CO processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated business solutions.
- Analyze financial and controlling processes and recommend SAP best practices.
- Gather and document functional business requirements.
- Serve as the SAP FICO subject matter expert for business users.
- Support system testing, issue resolution, and deployment activities.
- Assist with financial reporting, month-end close, and audit support processes.
- Coordinate with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate financial processes.
- Support ongoing SAP projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and Unicode conversion activities.

Salary range: USD 72,200-99,000
