Hvac Project Manager Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hvac project manager in New Hampshire?
The most direct path is earning an associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology or construction management, then gaining field experience as an HVAC technician or foreman. New Hampshire does not issue a separate project manager license, but commercial HVAC work falls under the state's mechanical contractor licensing overseen by the New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure and Certification. Candidates who hold or are supervised under a licensed mechanical contractor and build estimating and scheduling skills move into project management roles.
How much do hvac project managers make in New Hampshire?
Hvac project managers in New Hampshire earn a median of about $172,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $120,350 for the lowest 10% to over $266,950 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire hvac project managers in New Hampshire?
Employers hiring hvac project managers in New Hampshire right now include BAE Systems USA, Heritage Home Service, and Moveras, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Hampshire's commercial construction and facilities services sector draws both national mechanical contractors and regional firms with deep roots in the Merrimack Valley and Seacoast markets.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most hvac project manager jobs?
Lebanon, Merrimack, and Manchester have the most hvac project manager openings in New Hampshire. Manchester and Nashua generate the most volume because they are the state's largest commercial construction and corporate facilities markets, while Concord concentrates openings tied to state government buildings and healthcare institutions, giving each city on the list a distinct driver rather than a random share of the same pool.
Are there remote hvac project manager jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, but they're rare. About 50% of hvac project manager openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the hands-on, site-dependent nature of most HVAC project work. The portions most likely to allow remote flexibility are pre-construction planning, scheduling, submittal review, and client reporting rather than active site supervision.
How can I get hired as a hvac project manager in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as an HVAC service technician or project coordinator at a regional mechanical contractor, then moving into project management as you build scheduling and estimating experience. Large New Hampshire employers in commercial facilities and healthcare often hire project coordinators or junior estimators from trade apprenticeship programs offered through local JATC chapters. Earning an EPA 608 certification and enrolling in a construction management certificate program at a New Hampshire community college strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Where can I find and apply to hvac project manager jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to hvac project manager jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current New Hampshire openings across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
