The Role
As an Implementation Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of ClearDemand's pricing optimization platform for new customers — from kickoff through go-live. You'll manage the project across five concurrent workstreams (Project Design, Discovery & Requirements, Data & Integration, Solution Configuration, and Training & User Acceptance Testing), coordinating internal data and software engineers alongside customer stakeholders to hit target implementation timelines. This is a highly cross-functional, customer-facing role for someone who is equally comfortable running an executive status meeting and digging into a data mapping issue.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the end-to-end implementation project plan for new grocery and food-retail customers, driving ClearDemand's target timeline across five concurrent stages: Project Design, Discovery & Requirements, Data & Integration, Solution Configuration, and Training & UAT.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation, building trusted relationships with category managers, pricing analysts, IT stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Lead discovery and requirements sessions to translate a customer's pricing strategy, business rules, and organizational structure into ClearDemand platform configuration.
- Partner closely with ClearDemand's data and software engineers to scope, validate, and troubleshoot customer data integrations (POS, cost, product hierarchy, and related feeds).
- Coordinate solution configuration across modules — Competitive Intelligence, Regular Pricing, Promotion, Markdown, and Tobacco — based on each customer's rollout sequence and requirements.
- Plan and deliver end-user training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring customer teams are confident and ready ahead of go-live.
- Proactively identify risks and roadblocks across concurrent workstreams and drive mitigation plans to keep implementations on schedule.
- Track and communicate implementation status, milestones, and risks to internal leadership and customer stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer implementations, each potentially in a different stage of the process.
- Ensure a smooth, well-documented handoff to the Customer Success team at go-live, including configuration decisions, open items, and customer context.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of ClearDemand's implementation methodology, templates, and playbooks based on lessons learned.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in implementation, project management, professional services, or customer onboarding for a B2B SaaS platform; experience in retail, grocery, or pricing/revenue management is strongly preferred.
- A track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing timelines and interdependent workstreams.
- Comfort working with data — familiarity with data mapping and integration concepts, and the ability to translate technical data requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong facilitation skills, with confidence running discovery workshops, training sessions, and customer status meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to customer executives.
- A self-starter mindset suited to a fast-paced, remote-first environment with minimal oversight.
- Nice to have: familiarity with retail pricing, promotions, or merchandising concepts; PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification; experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or MS Project.

The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or project management, followed by experience in a coordinator or business analyst role where you support software rollouts. Arizona does not require a state-issued license for implementation managers, but earning a Project Management Professional certification through PMI strengthens most applications. Many Arizona employers in healthcare IT also value familiarity with EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner before stepping into an implementation lead role.
How much do implementation managers make in Arizona?
Implementation managers in Arizona earn a median of about $99,050 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,050 for the lowest 10% to over $161,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire implementation managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring implementation managers in Arizona right now include Nextiva, CVS Health, and Clear Demand, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and enterprise technology companies means demand for implementation managers stays consistent throughout the year across multiple industries.
Which Arizona cities have the most implementation manager jobs?
Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale have the most implementation manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix leads because it is home to major healthcare networks, corporate headquarters, and financial technology firms that run continuous software deployments, while Scottsdale and Tempe contribute heavily through their concentrations of SaaS companies and professional services firms with enterprise client bases.
Are there remote implementation manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than many comparable roles. About 67% of implementation manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves training, configuration, and stakeholder coordination that can happen over video and shared project platforms. The parts of the role most likely to require on-site presence are go-live support and initial client onboarding at large enterprise accounts.
How can I get hired as an implementation manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is moving from a business analyst, customer success coordinator, or technical support role where you already touch software deployments or client onboarding. Arizona healthcare organizations like Banner Health and Dignity Health regularly hire implementation coordinators who work alongside senior managers on EHR rollouts, giving candidates direct project exposure. Building hands-on knowledge of a widely used platform such as Salesforce or Epic, even through a self-paced certification, gives your application a concrete edge when competing for entry-level implementation roles.
