Implementation Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a implementation manager in Texas?
Most Texas employers expect a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field. From there, candidates typically move into implementation analyst or project coordinator roles before stepping up to manager. Earning a PMP certification through the Project Management Institute strengthens your candidacy considerably. Texas does not require a state-issued license for implementation managers, so professional certifications and a documented project history are what advance your career here.
How much do implementation managers make in Texas?
Implementation managers in Texas earn a median of about $98,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,460 for the lowest 10% to over $162,780 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire implementation managers in Texas?
Employers hiring implementation managers in Texas right now include Rippling, Rightway Healthcare, and American Heart Association, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and energy companies creates consistent demand for implementation talent across the state.
Which Texas cities have the most implementation manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Plano have the most implementation manager openings in Texas. Dallas leads because of its dense concentration of corporate headquarters and enterprise technology firms, Houston draws demand from energy sector digital initiatives, and Austin's fast-growing SaaS and healthcare IT ecosystem has made it a consistent source of implementation roles.
Are there remote implementation manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many comparable roles. About 39% of implementation manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves system configuration, training delivery, and stakeholder calls that can happen over video. Roles requiring on-site go-lives or hardware installations are more likely to remain in person.
How can I get hired as a implementation manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a project coordinator or implementation analyst role, which Texas employers in healthcare IT, ERP consulting, and financial technology regularly hire at the associate level. Large Texas-based health systems such as UT Southwestern and Texas Children's Hospital run structured onboarding cohorts for implementation support staff. Building proficiency in a leading platform such as Salesforce, Epic, or SAP and earning a foundational PMP or CAPM credential gives candidates a clear competitive edge when applying for their first implementation role.
