We are rebuilding biotech for the AI era. When a breakthrough is delayed, the world waits. Getting a molecule from discovery to patients, or a crop from lab to field, involves thousands of slow, manual, disconnected steps. AI has the potential to change this, compressing decades of R&D work into years. But that only happens when clean, structured scientific data and AI are built into how science gets done. Benchling is the AI platform for biotech R&D. Scientists use Benchling to design experiments, capture structured data, and run AI agents and models directly in their workflows. Over 200,000 scientists around the world trust Benchling to power their most important work, from academic labs to Sanofi, Moderna, and more than half of the world's top 50 biopharma. We’re building an AI scientist for our customers. We can’t do that if we haven’t built the muscle ourselves. AI fluency is the foundation we build on; it's core to how we work, and we're committed to helping every new hire integrate it into their day-to-day. As part of our interview process, you'll complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion so we can understand how you think about and use AI to drive impact in your role. Feel free to reference any tools, platforms, or workflows you use today.

While no state-issued license is required for the role itself, employers in healthcare settings often expect familiarity with Massachusetts health data regulations and HIPAA compliance. A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute or a Certified Associate in Project Management credential adds a competitive edge with Boston-area employers.
How much do implementation managers make in Massachusetts?
Implementation managers in Massachusetts earn a median of about $114,190 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,800 for the lowest 10% to over $174,840 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire implementation managers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring implementation managers in Massachusetts right now include Nedap, Intuit, and Benchling, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of healthcare systems, financial technology firms, and enterprise software companies along the Route 128 corridor keeps demand for implementation managers consistently strong throughout the year.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most implementation manager jobs?
Boston, Burlington, and Canton have the most implementation manager openings in Massachusetts. Boston anchors the market through its dense cluster of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and technology companies, while Cambridge draws demand from biotech and research institutions, and Waltham benefits from the Route 128 technology corridor where mid-market and enterprise software companies have long maintained regional headquarters.

Yes, and more than many hands-on roles, because much of the work involves coordination, training, and documentation that can be done remotely. About 100% of implementation manager openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the strong SaaS and enterprise software presence in the state. Client-facing go-live phases and on-site training sessions are the portions most likely to require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a implementation manager in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into implementation from a closely related role such as business analyst, project coordinator, customer success associate, or IT support specialist, as many Massachusetts employers treat these as feeder positions. Large healthcare systems like Mass General Brigham and enterprise software firms along the Route 128 corridor regularly bring on associate implementation consultants or onboarding coordinators as entry points. Earning a Certified Associate in Project Management credential and building experience with a single platform like Salesforce or Workday through coursework or freelance projects strengthens a first application significantly.
