YOUR ROLE
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance activities that provide service necessary to sustain plant operations. Takes a lead role for assigned tasks dealing with repair, servicing, and upkeep of all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Participate and execute engineering design improvements and process upgrades (small projects). Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a 12 hour - night shift schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance activities that provide service necessary to sustain plant operations. Perform maintenance work requests assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Responsible for following Maintenance Department procedures such as inventory handling and preventative maintenance.
- Plant contact for outside contractors performing maintenance and/or project work.
- Provide input on plant projects for safe and efficient maintenance operation.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Take a lead role for assigned industrial maintenance tasks, either mechanical or electrical at the Branchburg facility. Troubleshoot and repair multi-faceted mechanical, HVAC and/or electrical systems.
- Follow all plant safety and hygiene procedures required in a GMP plant.
- Comply with all Safety procedures and department SOP’s, as well as PPE requirements.
ABOUT YOU
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent education is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Must have a broad technical background encompassing HVAC, electrical, and mechanical maintenance involving both process and utility equipment.
- Must be able to analyze, solve problems, and perform calibration on electrical, piping, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Must have the ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams/schematics, PIDs, and manufacturer’s equipment manuals instructions.
- Must be able to disassemble and repair various pieces of equipment including but not limited to pumps, fans, gearboxes, controllers etc.
- Welding skills and any additional relevant training, certifications, and licensures are a plus.
