About The Role
We are looking for an Industrial Service Technician to support our Service Department through field service, equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for industrial surface preparation equipment.
This is a full-time, weekday position with a consistent schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with no nights, no weekends, no required overtime, and no on-call requirements. Occasional overnight travel to remote customer locations may be required, but it is rare.
The majority of the role involves local field service at customer sites, with regular local travel using a company vehicle. Your home base will be our Wilmington facility, where you will work closely with the Service Manager and have dedicated office space, computer access, and use of our service shop for in-house repairs and support work.
The role is hands-on and involves both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on equipment such as blast cabinets, blast rooms, dust collectors, industrial vacuum systems, shot blast equipment, and other related industrial machinery.
Real industrial service work means that, at times, you will be working inside large equipment, getting dirty, and performing hands-on service in active customer shop environments.
The position requires someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to learn quickly. Prior experience specifically with abrasive blasting equipment is a plus, but not required. We understand this equipment is specialized, and we are willing to train the right candidate who has strong mechanical aptitude, good troubleshooting skills, and the ability to learn and retain technical knowledge.
You will work closely with customers, our Service Department, and our Customer Service and Sales teams, so strong communication and professionalism are important.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment both in-house and at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to identify issues before breakdowns occur
- Service mechanical and electrical components of industrial blasting and dust collection equipment
- Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair
- Provide technical support to Customer Service and Sales teams regarding equipment and service issues
- Communicate with customers professionally regarding service needs, repairs, and recommendations
- Maintain service records and documentation for repairs, inspections, and maintenance work
- Follow all customer site safety rules and company safety procedures
- Support in-shop repairs and service work at the Wilmington facility as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial equipment service, maintenance, repair, or related mechanical experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Basic knowledge of industrial pneumatics and electrical systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to enter government facilities when required for customer site access
- Ability to lift equipment, use tools safely, and perform physical service work as needed
- Strong communication skills and professional customer service demeanor
- Reliable, self-motivated, and interested in a long-term position
Compensation
$62,400 - $65,000 per year, based on experience
