We are seeking an second shift (3pm-11pm) industrial maintenance technician lead, with excellent attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have a background in repairing manufacturing machinery. Electrical experience is preferred. Overtime hours are usually available.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls.
- Troubleshoot problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480v three phase.
- Remove and replace defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
- Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs.
- Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made and parts used or needed.
- Keep company tools put away and in working order.
- Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. Using shop equipment. (welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.)
Qualifications/Experience
- Good organizational skills with an ability to address multiple issues at once.
- Effective communication skills in both spoken and written formats
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the company. Must be able to understand safety rules, SOP’s, work instructions.
Required
- High School diploma is preferred with 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Electrical experience is preferred.
- Manufacturing background is desired.
- Will train the right candidate.
