Responsibilities
- Manages project and/or program engineering teams associated with facility and pipeline design, controls (budget, schedule, and risk), public relations, regulatory and stakeholder coordination, project delivery (preliminary and final design oversight), and construction management/oversight.
- Assists client/owner teams in Capital Improvement Program (CIP) management, governance, and project decision-making.
- Utilize field and technical experience to identify opportunities for improvement in the development and execution of design and construction activities, including opinions of probably costs for construction. Works with the program leadership in the monitoring and management of resources.
- Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of moderately complex nature including urban pipelines and utility-public interfaces.
- Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
- Involved in exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches.
- Responsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical matters.
- Ability to work remotely, at client job site, develops significant relationships with clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of study.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience (exclusive of any advanced degree).
- Registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Must have demonstrated experience in the planning, design, and construction phase of infrastructure projects.
- Construction experience should include providing engineering services during construction and direct coordination with the Construction Manager or Management.
- Ability to evaluate progress of staff and results obtained. Ability to recommend changes to achieve overall objectives.
- Demonstrate creative, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with client/owner and project team members.
- Ability to effectively prepare memorandums, reports, and other written deliverables.
- Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints, often for concurrent projects.
- Program or project-level experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, reclaimed master plans/studies, pipeline rehabilitation projects, pump stations, and/or reservoirs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field of study.
Pay Range
$150,000 to $180,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
