Insights Analyst Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a insights analyst in Pennsylvania?
Insights analyst roles in Pennsylvania do not require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education and demonstrated analytical skills. Most Pennsylvania employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, psychology, or business. From there, building hands-on experience with data tools and research platforms matters most. Many candidates enter through research coordinator or data analyst roles at Pennsylvania's large healthcare systems, financial institutions, or consumer goods companies before moving into dedicated insights positions.
How much do insights analysts make in Pennsylvania?
Insights analysts in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $68,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $34,160 for the lowest 10% to over $128,810 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire insights analysts in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring insights analysts in Pennsylvania right now include GNC, Essity, and Augmentis, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of large healthcare networks, insurance carriers, and media companies creates steady demand for insights professionals across both corporate and agency settings.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most insights analyst jobs?
Pittsburgh, Carlisle, and Coraopolis have the most insights analyst openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia dominates because of its dense cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and financial services firms, while Pittsburgh's strength in healthcare and technology drives demand there, and suburban markets like King of Prussia attract corporate analytics teams from companies with regional offices along the Route 202 corridor.
Are there remote insights analyst jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than most fields. Insights analyst work is largely desk-based and output-driven, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 50% of insights analyst openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted away from mandatory on-site presence. Research design, data analysis, and reporting tasks are the most frequently performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a insights analyst in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a research coordinator, marketing analyst, or data analyst role into insights. Pennsylvania's large health systems, such as UPMC and Jefferson Health, along with major insurers and retail companies headquartered in the Philadelphia area, regularly hire junior analysts and research associates who work alongside senior insights teams. Building a portfolio of small research projects or analyses, earning a Google Data Analytics or market research certificate, and applying to rotational analyst programs at Pennsylvania-based consumer goods or financial services firms gives candidates a meaningful edge.
Where can I find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current Pennsylvania openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
