Insights Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an insights analyst in Texas?
There is no state-issued license required to work as an insights analyst in Texas, so the path runs through education and employer credentialing. Most Texas employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or social science field, such as market research, statistics, or business analytics. Candidates who build proficiency in tools like Tableau or SQL and add a credential such as the Insights Association's Professional Researcher Certification gain a clear edge in competitive Texas markets.
How much do insights analysts make in Texas?
Insights analysts in Texas earn a median of about $72,520 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,640 for the lowest 10% to over $135,710 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire insights analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring insights analysts in Texas right now include Alcon, 7-Eleven, and American Airlines, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large retail, energy, and financial services sectors mean demand is distributed across a wide range of industries rather than concentrated in a single vertical.
Which Texas cities have the most insights analyst jobs?
Austin, Fort Worth, and Houston account for the largest share of insights analyst openings in Texas. Dallas leads because of its density of corporate headquarters in retail, financial services, and telecom, while Houston's strength in energy and healthcare drives its volume, and Austin's fast-growing tech and consumer brand sector adds a significant and rising share of openings.
Are there remote insights analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Insights analyst work is desk-based and output-driven, which makes it well suited to remote arrangements. About 6% of insights analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed teams for this role. The most remote-friendly segments are digital analytics, marketing measurement, and customer experience research, where deliverables are entirely report- and presentation-based.
How can I get hired as an insights analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a research coordinator or data analyst associate role, which large Texas employers such as H-E-B, USAA, and AT&T post specifically for candidates without prior analytics experience. Building a portfolio of independent projects using publicly available datasets, completing an internship with a Texas-based market research agency, or earning a certification through the Insights Association demonstrates practical capability. Adjacent roles in marketing operations, customer service analytics, or category management at Texas retailers are also common lateral moves that open the door.
Where can I find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring for this role. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly to the ones that match.
